Good and affordable vegetarian! Had been to this outlet twice. Everything was great the first time on a weekend evening; service was prompt despite the place being crowded and the staff was attentive and friendly. Second time there wasn't as pleasant. Aircon wasn't working and the place was warm. Had to go to the counter to order the food myself despite the place not being crowded. Overall the food is what gets me going back. Nasi lemak is a must-try! The rice was really fragrant (though may be a bit moist for some) and it has one of the best vegetarian nasi lemak chilli which impressed even my brother who has quite high standard for food. A family meal for 4 people cost me only about $50 with a couple of side dishes. Really value for money for the quality they serve!

Good grief, waited 20 minutes for a place and then 40 minutes for food. A total of an hour before we get to eat. Before coming, have a snack first. Update, ordered food at 12.50, 4 individual sets of rice dish. Last plate arrived at 1.45pm, almost ONE HOUR after order was placed. Reason given, chef prepares food according to colour 颜色。Huh ???

I tried the Rendang Curry with mock meat and Creamy Mushroom Herricium. Thumbs up for both. However the service is a bit slow likely due to lunch time. #Update on 18 Nov# Over the past four months I have been either having take-aways and dine-in at this restaurant. Few more recommended dishes are: 1. Thai curry 2. Bak kut teh 3. Fruit rojak

Was recommended to try this by a previous customer. After hearing his review, decided to give this place a try and I can assure you this place lived upto its name The Toa Payoh Branch is nice and spacious with very helpful and kind staff. Tried the famous Bak Kut teh & pineapple fried rice. Both filling and very tasty. The soup was good, loved the use of mushroom in it! The portion size is big and more than enough for 3 people Would definitely try again!

Haven't visited this place for a good 2 months. Since the opening of 5 pax to dine, came here with my parents for dinner. Normally when we come, we would always order the same old dishes. Today we were feeling adventurous so we tried new ones We had: 1. Satay 2. Curry rice 3. Black pepper mutton 4. Hokkien mee only with thick bee hoon 5. Sweet and sour mushrooms 6. Soup of the day- Black bean 7. Stir fry Kai Lan Just 3 of us, guess our eyes were bigger than our stomach... couldn't finish as those that were individual portions dishes, could easily feed 2. We have to take away some. Everything we ordered were superb! Maybe not worth ordering the greens. To pick the Top 3, I would say it would be: 1. Sweet and sour mushrooms 2. Hokkien Mee 3. Black pepper mutton Total damaged: $50.50.

Love the range of food and attentive service of the crew. Was with my elderly mum and made special request to cook noodles to be softer for easier chewing. Request was well delivered and service staff was polite and understanding throughout. Another plus point is the good, open layout of tables, not too crowded with ample seats when I visited on weekdays. Nice, clean and comfy atmosphere. Easy access from main transport routes, ramps easy to access for wheelchair users. Highly recommended!

Great value and flavours. Enjoyed the signature assam fish, Thai style claypot curry, herbal amaranth with mushrooms, steamed cod fish with bitter gourd, and broccoli and fish maw claypot. The almond tea was good too.

This is a vegetarian restaurant that has tzi char and western items on its menu. We ordered their signature fried rice, satay bee Hoon, fried Kang Kong and cereal 'prawn' for dinner for two people to share. The portions are all very generous. The signature fried rice comes with a cracker, a fried egg and some broccoli. I found it a little blend and basically there isn't much 'ingredients' in the rice itself, thus a little lacking in flavor. I love the satay bee hoon though. The gravy is thick, and there are actually peanuts in it as opposed to some stalls, which just used a starch slurry to thicken the sauce. It is almost the real deal, except it's the vegetarian version minus the meat and cockles. You can find Kang Kong, taupok and some mock fish cake(?) inside. Stir fried Kang Kong tastes standard and again portion is generous. Lastly, the cereal prawn is also nicely fried, with a nice buttery aroma of the crunchy cereal. 'Prawns' were crispy too and not too oily. What is best is, I can eat this without the cholesterol. Overall, the price is reasonable and the servings are generous. I seldom eat at Vegetarian restaurants, but the dishes I ordered here suit my taste buds. We were so stuffed and had to pack one of the dishes home as we simply couldn't finish them. The service crew were also friendly and helpful. Parking is also easy, as there is a huge public carpark nearby.
