Herbal chicken is a must try. Only a hint of herbal taste, soup is sweet, not bitter like the herbal chicken you can get else where. Downside is that the taste of the herbal chicken is not consistence. Sometimes it taste awesome, soup very robust. Sometimes not much taste.. Have to try your luck.. The ipoh hor fun is another item on the menu that can try. Nowadays very difficult to find noodles priced at 2.50$. Although the portion is small, but still is able to fill your stomach.

They close early @ about 2pm and they usually sell out their other dishes by then. I had the only choice of emperor chicken but its nice and tender. Good option for the health conscious!

The Emperor Chicken and Scallop Chicken Soup at $4 and $3.50 respectively are really GOOD VaLUE for money. The only downside is that these tend to run out by about 12.45 pm. The taste is good and the queue is not prohibitively long! DO TRY!

Food quality & Price: Emperor herbal chicken had enough herbs that you could taste the herbs, soup is not diluted and not bitter, and chicken was very tender - recommended! Shi Quan duck/chicken soups $3.5 are decent. Scallop chicken soup $3.5 each - least enjoyable of the lot, wouldn’t come back for more! Food portion: Reasonably priced for portions! Though it’s probably recommended to get snack later on for guys. Crowd: Not too long a queue even during the peak lunch crowd, a good thing for a great gem! Payment: SG QR now accepted as well on top of cash
