★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice neighbourhood bakery with fresh baked sold at reasonable prices. Like their old school custard puffs which are huge with loads of thick custard filling which isn’t too sweet. Got it when they were still on the cooling tray and pastry had a crisp top. Worth the $1 paid. Their banana chocolate cake and sushi bread roll are also my favourite?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Has been patronising this bakery for many years. It sells very nice whole cakes that are not too sweet, light and soft and at much more affordable prices compared to the more well known bakeries. On top of that, they have a good and yummy variety of bread/buns and traditional pastries. One highlight of this shop is their delicious steam teochew yam cake which they make daily. Highly recommended to anyone who resides in Toa Payoh or just in this area for a visit or errand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ And old school bakery with many good bakes available.
My recommendations are:
1. Banana cake. Sgd1.20 a piece. Soft and fragrant.
2. Donuts. Soft, fluffy and delicious. Sold out early in the day.
3. Bread rolls.
Amongst others.
Their butter cake for me, is a bit too sweet and yet on the drier, denser side. Not my favourite but decent.
