very nice ambience and unique design here. I have been here twice and each time a pleasurable experience. This time got myself a trouser which is a foldable design with beautiful floral pattern on the side. Never seen foldable waistline adjustments before, it's definitely a delicate piece.

A very interesting shop nested in heart of Tiong Bahru, So many unique and treasures I found. The owner was super helpful, knowledgeable and passionate about his items. He was so patience and explained each one of the kind piece when I shown interest in. Managed to buy a few exquisite pieces that I am so happy with. True Gem, highly recommended

Great products, this man has excellent taste. Unfortunately, he is also extremely dishonest and from the short encounter I had with him, quite a terrible human being. We bought a 1,000$ kimono for a friend’s present, which was discounted 60% (see the label). Eventually, he charged us 500$, pretending the β€˜6’ on the label was a β€˜5’ (everyone is free to make their own opinion on this fact from the picture I shared). When confronted with the fact that this wasn’t honest, he lost all dignity and became extremely agitated, threatening to take back the merchandise. I noted at this point, that he lost all respect for the product: one moment he was handling it as it was the most precious material on earth (yes, we’re talking about a 1,000$ kimono), the moment after, he was shaking it like it was a rug… I understand this might be a tough time for small businesses, but does one really have to resort to petty tricks to sell your merchandise? In the end, he mentioned he was a banker in another life: I think that sums it all. Great products, tho. That earned 3 stars.

Pino is one of the most honest, kind & generous persons & dealers I know. My shopping experience with him at DGA Threads have always been very heart warming & nice as he offers more than just fine products to his clients & friends. He is passionate, genuine, sincere & exemplary of what a good dealer & friend should be. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY‼️

Prior to our dinner appointment around Tiong Bahru area, we decided to accompany our friend to DGAThreads boutique …to our surprise saw so many exquisite Japanese vintage wearables, accessories, shoes, bags etc. We were all too busy gazing around and choosing the beautiful kimono pieces which we finally purchased with Pino’s recommendations. He is such an amazing person and definitely one with fashion sense and awesome knowledge of Japanese fabric n also respectful way of wearing a kimono. Sad that the boutique is closing its door but I hope Pino’s passion will live forever.

The shop has beautiful vintage Japanese fabrics, and each piece of handcrafted clothing is a wearable art. The owner/designer, Pino, has a wealth of knowledge and makes each visit a truly enjoyable, learning experience.

A great place with wonderfully innovative clothing and accessory design as well as an impressive collection of antique artworks, in addition to a very friendly and accommodating owner! The cozy showroom is covered in beautiful works of art all over, and we were more than happy to walk away purchasing his lovely scrunchies made from kimono material. My fellow art history students and I who visited were really grateful for the willingness of the owner, Mr De Giosa, to share with us so much about his collection of both textiles and sculpture in so much depth. Not only is he passionate and highly knowledgeable about diverse art forms ranging from Japanese textile motifs to sculptures of the Buddha, he is also great at presenting fascinating information in a really engaging manner. It really is a pity the shop at Tiong Bahru will be closing down but I am sure his future endeavours with his art gallery will succeed and I wish him all the best!
