★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Untransparent and long-drawn process to get subsidy for child whose mum is pursuing masters (course workload of at least 20-25hr per week). Feedback on rejection and new criteria given in bits and pieces throughout the process instead of setting specific and clear guidelines at the get go. Even the childcare institution has no awareness of ECDA's rationale or process, resulting in a frustrating 3.5 month process.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A star is generous enough already. Ecda is lacking in service compared to 4 years ago. As a SEP, I submitted a long list of my bank account to prove income. Despite all that, it got rejected and I had to pay a hefty $620 just for childcare. Then why did I print 20 plus pages to prove my income for? For you guys to recycle? No reply after email sent to them.

With such a terrible rating overall, this is time for a whole restructuring of this organisation towards performance and professionalism. Truly not any close to singapore’ quality standard.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Inefficient, lazy. Refuse to follow up on the urgent needs for my child's placement in my desired childcare centre despite having a sibling placement with the centre.
Making life hell and headache for parents like us. Officers are heartless and inhumane towards children and do not understand the mental stress that parents are undergoing where there is no childcare centre within residential area refusing to take in my child.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They kept rejecting my Singaporeans child subsidy asking for various proof of occupation. Despite sending them the payslips, letter of employment. And they still make additional request and they take so long to reply and approve. They are also difficult to contact.
Please wake up ECDA. Look at how unhappy everyone is at you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Suggestions and solutions are not intuitive and ridgid at times. My family do not feel safe as questions asked are not answered but more of a deflective maneuver that points to a totally unrelevant direction! School fees are paid but working parents are bearing the full brunt of covid!
