Recently send my BMW 523i for engine overhaul. Had went to many other workshops that claims to be specialised in BMW. But this workshop is authentically honest and experienced. Won't be looking elsewhere anymore. Too bad I can only rate them 5 stars,.

I service my 335 here and after a while also switch my Estima here for servicing. Reading some of the negative feedback, I can understand the frustration - Ah Leng the owner is not a very conversational guy but his diagnosis has always been spot on for me. My 13-year old Estima now runs like a dream because of him, the 335 has its share of common issues and he's got it first time right everytime.

Old man technician attitude is bad, very KL. Maybe he knows his stuff but don’t appreciate the way he talks. He doesn’t want to say what the problem is unless we confirm to repair at his workshop. Takes his own sweet time, doesn’t smile, no service attitude to win business. If he’s truly confident of his skills, he does not need to hold people hostage by saying “I’ll only tell you the problem if you’re doing the repair here.” No thanks. I’ll bring my business to another workshop where they actually want it.

We have been loyal clients of this workshop for many years. The chief mechanic Mr Lim has been accurate in fault diagnosis and rectification. Service is prompt, replacement parts arrive quickly and works usually do not require more than several hours. The workshop has taken care of our vehicle well for many years. Keep up the good work, Mr Lim and team!

The boss knows well about BMW and have a sense of responsibility. Service is fast. Price is on the higher side.

The charges are on the high side. The boss does insist on performing works specified in BMW service schedule. He persuaded me to replace the engine mounts of my 11-year old 525, though I didn't feel anything wrong with them or any difference after the change. However, he was also the only one outside of performance motor who could fix my parallel imported 330e plug-in hybrid, which had developed strange false alarms. I must give it to him that he knows what he is doing, which is not often the impression I get when talking to performance motor's service consultants. "Expensive" is relative. For peace of mind, one can pay much more going to performance motor. Euro Auto works for me.

Tried to charge me $180 for 2 relays worth around $50. Also said the ECU needed replacement. I asked the technician why, and he said there are many fault codes. I asked to see the codes but he claimed to have erased it as part of the diagnosis. Later on he said they are unrelated codes. Therefore, I'm supposed to change the ECU because of unrelated fault codes? No way. I have my own OBD reader and it didn't pick up any fault codes afterwards. I am also an automotive engineer and know that fault codes should be investigated as they give clues to the problem, and not to be erased as "part of the diagnostic process" Follow-up update: So I brought my car to another workshop and the workshop took the time to do a proper diagnosis and narrowed down the problem to a short-circuit fuse junction box. Absolutely nothing wrong with the ECU
