Nice grocery store. Convinent carpark but watch out for the old trees. Branches may fall on ur car. Store is a neighbourhood sized one with most common fair price goods but don't expect variety of goods like ntuc fairprice extra. Not crowded o. Sunday afternoons. Recommended.

I hv noticed cashier Huynh Thi Ngoc phuc was seen more interested in engaging small talk with fellow colleague than serving customers. She was not helpful n impatient as shown on her facial expressions which conveys her unwillingness to help towards customers. Whereas the rest of the staff were hardworking n friendly while dealing with customers..

Ray, almost daily I go to Chai Chee NTUC. Most of the Cashiers are reliable and hard working. Also because of the large car park. I will give Chai Chee NTUC - - - 5 Golden Stars.

Convenient - close to home, open 24 hours. But the queue always so long. Will be good if busy timing they open up all 4 or at least 3 cashier counters instead of 2.

Met with an utterly rude cashier at NTUC Fairprice (Chai Chee) today. Cashier was Goh Loo Peng, as according to my receipt. First, she seemed impatient to obtain my NTUC member card as her hand kept inching forward repeatedly while I was trying to retrieve it from my wallet. It was definitely uncomfortable. Secondly, because of her inattention to the card merchant, I had to return to the store again to complete a payment. During the initial payment, cashier's back was then turned towards me all the way to attend to something else after I had tapped my credit card for payment. This was for quite a while. Seeing that she did not turn around at all, I presumed my transaction was complete, thus I took my items and walked out of the store. She then shouted loudly across the aisle, about my unsuccessful transaction. The unsuccessful transaction was due to insufficient balance in my card, which I later settled with cash and even apologised to her. Thinking back, the whole experience was absolutely terrible and could have been better if she initially paid attention to the payment process and saw it to completion, and also practiced courtesy.

Very small and crampy. Has main essentials but also lacking lots of other basic stuffs especially sauces and snacks/biscuits.

We have been loyal customers of your supermarket but would like to share our negative experience at the Fairprice branch at 29B Chai Chee Ave, #01-62 Ansar Garden, Singapore 462029. We have been making multiple trips to this particular branch in an attempt to purchase some packets of discounted bittergourd that are displayed for sale early in the morning. My helper has been going down as early as 7 am only to be told that all bittergourd has been sold out. She asked if it was possible for us to reserve a few packets, but we were told that all goods were sold on a first come, first served basis, and she had to come down earlier if she wanted to purchase any bittergourd. On 11 August 2021, my helper went down at 6.30 am and saw one of your staff opening a box of more than 10 packets of bittergourd. She wanted to purchase multiple packets but was stopped by the same staff, who told her that she could only purchase two packets. When she asked why she could not purchase more, she was told that the bittergourd has been reserved by another customer who operates a business. Our family is furious at this differentiated treatment. We accept that we are unable to reserve any goods, but this treatment should be extended to everyone. There is no set limit to the number of packets that we can buy. We have previously purchased multiple packets at one go. We have been making our utmost efforts over a few days to purchase bittergourd at this branch nearest to our house. Yet we are stopped by this unofficial reservation system that is implemented by your staff based on favouritism. We implore you to have better systems in place to train your staff so that each customer is treated equally and there is no discrimination just because we are consumers who make purchases for our personal use.
