With regards to the negative review by a certain Joshua Martinez, i feel injustice for my former employer of 9 years, who have been nothing but kind and most patient towards all employees. The work environment had been nurturing and employee-centric.

Eroding standards of academic behavior, professional conduct, and communication & correspondence etiquette... In my case, it turned out that they had advertised a vacancy, but nobody there was actually looking for someone with the profile they had specified. After a few long-waiting follow-up emails to get someone to reply to me, I was interviewed by somebody who was supposed to be interested in me (since my profile matched the advertised position very closely) but then he said the vacancy actually belonged to someone else's research group, so I was forwarded to that person. Similarly, I had to wait a few weeks and email a couple of reminders to get a reply from this other person, only to find out that even this one was not really looking for anyone with the profile they had advertised. I was left speechless; never mind that I wasted almost three months just to correspond with them, but why the hell would you advertise a position with a specific profile when nobody there is actually looking for such a person? That ad is "still" online, as of 25 May 2018 that I am writing this review. [ UPDATE ] On 06 July 2018, they responded to my review by pointing out that "It is an employerโ€™s right to hire or not, and that an interview is just one part of the process that Fraunhofer Singapore carries out before deciding if a candidate is a good fit" which sadly shows that they did not even understand the point of my review and what I was complaining about. I never claimed that "I should have been employed after the first interview". The first interview just concluded that the interviewer was not really looking for anyone at that point, because his projects were so and so, and then after I was forwarded to another person and waited for them to get back to me after a few weeks, they also said that they were not looking for anyone with that profile because their projects were so and so. Effectively, both of them told me that they were not looking for anyone with that profile. Not that I was unsuccessful in the first interview or in the whole process, but no such profile was being sought by anyone in that institute... If you are not looking for somebody with a certain background and skills, then do not place an advert online for it. If you are, go ahead, interview them, once or twice, and then tell them if they were successful or unsuccessful in the interviews. Also, reply to your damn emails in a timely manner. Waiting for three weeks and reminding you twice in the meantime is unacceptable. Nobody is THAT busy. If you really are that busy, drop some of your tasks, so that you can do the remaining tasks gracefully and properly. Being super busy is never a bloody excuse for doing nothing at the end of the day.
