Fukudon - 660A Edgedale Plains

Very fresh salad and super tasty wagyo onigiri don, must try the katsu platter.

Located in the food court of Edgedale Plains is the unassuming FukuDon , where they specialise in donburis. They are extremely value for money, considering the quality of the ingredients used, with price point below $10 for all of the items listed on the menu apart from the Wagyu Onigiri Don. If you can only try 1 dish due to limited stomach space, go with the Wagyu Onigiri Don. This hearty bowl consists of a bed of rice, topped with soy marinated wagyu slices seared to a luscious pink, ajitsuke tamago and crunchy pickled cucumber sprinkled with furikake. They were really generous with the ingredients, given the fact that the rice can barely be seen ? Their Satay Pork Collar Onigiri Don features satay pork collar which somehow reminds me of bulgogi, homemade achar, onsen egg and egg floss blanketing the rice. Savoury and flavourful, this was a pretty filling bowl and is sure to induce food coma after you wipe the bowl clean. I am powerless in the face of this Crunchy Chili Chicken Karaage, which has been given a dusting of seasoned flour before being deep fried. It is that amazing combination of crispy and salty; of soft, tenderised meat steamed in its shell. Every bite promises a crunch, despite being drowned in the chili dressing. I can imagine this being a good bar grub, bring the beer! The Greenfield Salad was pretty appetising and was the only dish that I didn't manage to finish, considering the amount of food I had.

Super delicious! The rice is well seasoned and each food item is meticulously prepared. And such a reasonable price for the superb quality. Yumz!!

Great tasting high quality dishes and friendly service! In my opinion, you're getting restaurant level quality at food court prices. Can't go wrong with the Sukiyaki beef don and the Pork belly katsu don. And if you like soup noodles, try the seasonal Beef Udon as it brings a level of sophistication that really takes it to the next level.

Prices are really affordable Yet food are better than mall restaurant ones. Sukiyaki beef short plate Don taste clean & savoury. Spicy pork collar Don is flavourful & of course spicy which my nephew like. The onsen egg are marvellous, it’s my favourite. Will try other types next time. They gets a little busy on weekends. I thought I ordered via Grabfood self pick up so I don’t need to wait long but still I had to wait a while. But it’s definitely worth it. Service is good & staffs are friendly too ~

Tried two items from their stall today. Potatoes Salad - Good. The potatoes are cut into smaller piece not too big chunk. Love how they dress it with the condiments which goes perfectly. Salmon Don - it nice with the tomatoes and orange salad. Very appetising. Support local hawker. Keep it up.

Satay Pork Collar Don was really good. Pork meat was tender and well marinated. Generous portion too. Chilli karaage was good. Crunchy thin batter and tender chicken meat...but not spicy. Was expecting more kick. Potato salad was pretty average. Overall, pretty satisfying meal we had here. Will be back to try other dons.
