There were many private donations from past Singapore Tycoon once displayed at Nation Museum many decades ago, and now no where to be found.

The building is a grand neoclassical landmark built in 1928 and is gazetted in December 2015 as Singapore's 71st national monument. Overall a very imposing and spectacular building with sweeping views of Marina Bay and charming views of the historic Singapore River!

Who needs to change the world, Steve Jobs portraits on the front page of Times magazine lay serenely in repetitive neatness on the wooden horizontal shelves.
