Came here every other year, in hopes that this place would improve; I was absolutely disappointed. No one deserves to wait almost 2 hours, only to receive cold dishes that were sitting there throughout the entire time. The reason for the delay being same excuse every other year we visited this place, "not enough manpower". This is fine and understandable, but there was another hidden reason that really puts me off. If you're not ordering their most expensive dishes, then be prepared to have your orders pushed back the queue. It's no wonder why our food was served cold. Hence this marks my final visit to this place. Feel free to give this place a try if you don't mind long waits and annoying flies. Their food is pretty decent when served on time. Oh and I guess I forgot to mention that their satay is fantastic. P.S. 1★ for the Satay 1★ for decent food

Went there in celebration of a birthday. Be prepared to swat houseflies off your food throughout the entire meal if you plan to dine there. We asked for a takeaway half way through the meal cause it's really impossible to eat with ten houseflies relentlessly attacking our food. Anyway, for two pax, we ordered the kailan ($8), prawn paste wings ($10) and one salt baked crab 1.2-1.3kg. Paid $134 in total. Crab was disappointing and lacked flavour. Wouldn't head back specially for this cze char.

The famous curry fish head is not getting roo watery compared to previous visits. The kang kong belahan is good. Osyter fried egg is good too with chunky osyters, which are over cook. But the others are so so.

Usual place to have fresh salt baked mud crab. But this time round, couldn't have it due to flight delay according to the boss. So this time round tried the claypot curry fish head. The beancurd skin covered the entire fish head. The gravy taste savoury, good match with rice and the generous portion of long beans and lady fingers.

Tried their black pepper crabs, chilli crabs and assorted dishes. Contrary to what other says, the taste was average and mediocre. Avoid the yam ring. Overall acceptable especially the prices of the crabs. It's way cheaper than what I had in one of the so called 'crab house' in Sembawang.

It’s one of those eateries that a few signature dishes make up for the lack of ambience, service and the long wait. The salt baked crab is heavenly. Unlike most chillies crab (ladened with sweet syrupy sauce), you get to taste the crab.

Best place to Have authentic Singapore Crab. Place is not that fancy but we had a good time with kids. Food was yum. We had crab in black pepper, chilly crab, fish head and some vegetables. We could select the crab we wanted.
