★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Today was excited to attend an online event since morning (for 5 hours) hosted under GEVME platform with about 2000 attendees. Many attendees got kicked out several times in the beginning and and many encountered error page and hence decided to refresh the browser or restart notebook.
Only after 2 hours later, we are given with option to access Zoom which worked well.
GEVME came back about another 2 hours later, that the problem has been fixed but by the time, the attendees interest faltered and we are glad that that there is a fallback on zoom. Will think twice about having a huge event the next time with GEVME.
