Good Luck Supermarket - 503 Jurong West Street 52

As far as I know, there are 2 outlets, one at Bukit Batok East Ave 4 and this one. I am reviewing this Jurong West outlet. 1st, I am not sure if the fruit stalls immediately outside is also part of the supermart. I read the reviews here which seem to suggest that they are [update: confirmed with the staff that the outside section where the fruits are displayed is also part of the supermart]. As for the supermart itself, the premises is not as comfy as those big players and there is also a funny odour, perhaps not so good ventilation and air conditioning? BUT casting that aside, the savings on some items are fantastic eg washing powder of a particular FXX brand is easily cheaper by $1.40 per pack vs the pricing from a big Budget store and more than $2 cheaper vs the big players. A friend bought packets of sweets which were $0.70 cheaper per packet vs the big Budget chain. BUT, u have to be a smart consumer and know the pricing well. Not all items are cheaper here. Aside from the price factor, surprisingly they carry a more complete range of some products as compared to some big players, eg a particular brand of instant oats drink. All in, this is a place to hunt for bargains and get great savings. Just need to be a smart consumer.

Narcissus brand Lettuce pickled was sold at S1.20 per can. Boss please counter check did your staff wrongly tagged the price. Usual price should be below a dollar per can.

All rude staffs in fruit stall. Why can they handle the already bought fruits roughly into the bags while they show the grumpy and sacarstic remarks on customers selecting the fruits that their fruits are top notch and do not allow customers to feel and select them properly. We are careful not to press hard on the fruits as customers like me show respect to the fruits by not throwing and pressing hard on them. They forget who is customer. I am sure and bet I am not the only customer experiencing it.

Yesterday at about 8 plus evening! Customers walk in WITHOUT contact tracing i told one of the staff.. he said "NEVERMIND" told him that its not right to "NEVRMIND" and he said nevermind again!.. and.. a Cashier on duty having Flu and cough! And its is very obvious! I put back the item and didn't buy. Went home and wash up myself. This shop takes covid not seriously.

Good for the residents around this store. But remember that all the products in the store are not competitive price comparing to the shops nearby. Some are really the great deal. You will see the fruits being sold outside the good luck store, go on Saturday morning and look for bulk sellings... Great offer - example: red kiwi big box of just $10... 5 Tasty sweet oranges are $2 SGD. Rice and oil prices are normal. Overall don't worry, you are not fooled; buy confidently.

For those buying durian here… better know what you are paying for …especially MSW grade durian…

Dishonest durian seller. One of the MSW durian was infested with ants and still open for me. The guy opening the durian was sneezing and coughing nonstop with no face mask on. Worst still, they overcharge me until I make noise. Please check the durian carefully before they open. Heard another couple complaining that the durian is not ripe.

31 Mar 22’ This supermarket is well known in selling fruits. However, because of raining, I requested the salesman to pick up some passion fruits beside him for me, he just walk away & tell me to pick myself. I felt insulted ?
