C	Claire Ho on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really enjoyed and looked forward to GP lessons with Mr See every week as Mr See is a very engaging teacher! He always goes through comprehension texts in depth and allows me to gain deeper understanding of the passage. On top of that, Mr See always tries to enforce our learning for essay writing by picking up on certain writer’s techniques and essay writing skills when going through comprehension passages which kills two birds with one stone! Many would be lost when studying for GP which I personally can relate to, but after joining Mr See’s lessons, it has not only allowed me to gain clearer understanding on how to study for GP, but to also appreciate the essence of the subject - to expose ourselves to daily happenings around us and in the world as well as reflecting our personal opinions on such matters when it comes to the application question (or even essay writing!) for GP.

He’d share many exam tips to aid us in preparing better for them, and also provided many materials for revision and practice, which I really am grateful for. I joined his lessons because of my weak grasp of short-answered questions, which I can safely say I am more confident of answering now through his guidance.

He constantly kept his classes interesting and ensured that we were exposed to different content each week. By practising our skills every lesson, I also became more familiar with the format of questions and became confident when tackling them on my own, which led me to do better than I expected for the A levels. Academics aside, I've also grown very fond of picking up news articles in my own time and analysing them the way we were taught to do so.

He inserts pictures in our worksheets which made learning those content and skills much more interesting, making it easier to remember. He is a really passionate teacher who takes the effort to get to know the needs of all his students. He is also really patient, making it easy to approach him when i had any queries. His tuition is well-structured and in-depth, i will always gain new insights from every tuition session.

Because of his passion for the subject, he is able to easily engage his students and make them fall in love with the subject. Mr Irwin takes the time to go through current global issues in detail and makes us understand a little more about the world we live in. He also helped me to improve significantly in GP (from a D in J1 promos to an A in A levels). I will forever be grateful for all the times Mr Irwin helped me after class to master the skills and understand what I needed to do to get the grade that I wanted.
