I have made a claim in January 2021 for just $90+. The claim was paid using medisave yet a cheque was sent to me. As a policy holder, I have kindly informed my insurance agent about it and get them to re-process it and return to the medisave account instead. Unfortunately, till date which is August, 7 freaking months, the claim has yet been re-process despite numerous chaser sent. The service provided before sales and after sales is so much different. It is indeed terrible! I will ask everyone not to sign up with Great Eastern as the claim processing will take so long just for a $90+ claim. It there is a choice to give 0 star for this review, I will. And I will never recommend Great Eastern to any friend for insurance coverage.

Today, 15-12-2021 between 12.15 to 1.15..I was attended by a customer service lady at counter 9 at Great Eastern (Pickering Branch). That lady is has a very pleasant attitude, was very patient n helpful. Her service is excellent. Keep it up.

My dad purchased a policy for me 26 years ago. Throughout the years, my Insurance agent changed a few times and we had lost touch with my servicing agent. The company did not even knew when my house en-bloc since there was no follow up nor letter for many years. Until when I reached 21 years old, I contacted the insurance company to check on my policy, I was told I owe them money and couldn’t contact us (of course they couldn’t contact us. I did not made any claims and they did not contact us in any form for 15 years). When I requested to find out who is my servicing agent, I was told they couldn’t reveal it to me nor ask my agent to call me. The customer service officers were only transferring the calls to one another and not able to solve the issue. Yet not allowing my servicing agent to contact me. I was greatly disappointed by their service. Hence I went down to the office to terminate the policy. On that day, I requested to meet my servicing agent one last time but was rejected once again. As my contract was signed many years ago, my policy wordings were uncleared. I requested for a duplicate copy and was rejected again even when I agreed to pay for the duplicate copy. I do not even know if the terms and condition for the termination tallied with the policy wordings my dad has signed for me back then since they could not produce a duplicate copy. What I know was they did not fulfil the interest rates they promised back then. The interest rates got lower and lower the next few years due to market wasn’t doing well after we bought it. I currently has insurance policy with 3 different insurance company and I would say Great Eastern is at the bottom speaking from experience. *Note: this happened before Covid-19. There was no work from home back then. This is my genuine experience and I do not wish to reveal my identity. This post is to let Great Eastern knows that they are lacking in many ways with their various department. Absolutely no service at all.

The customer service person Stanley Ong is much more helpful, knowledgeable and took time to explain my policy when I got into an accident and was confused on the steps to take. Where else I have an agent who is either not bothered to help, answer my question with detailed points when I went into A&E. I think Great Eastern should rethink of their hiring policy. I don't mind paying commission to good customer service people than agents who are not interested in helping you when you need to do claims. Most are interested in closing a deal or selling policies.

To be honest, very disappointed with Great Eastern. Cash collateral took 4months and still no response from them. Highly recommended CHINA TAIPING!

Bought a policy with Great Eastern Life from the Bank but subsequently decided to freelook it. Submitted the free look for a few weeks and still didn't receive my payment back. Called Great Eastern customer service and they mentioned that " Because your premium is too high, we need more signatory to approve. Therefore it will take an extra week or more to get the cheque. Ask for exact date of refund but they couldn't provide. Is it right for Great Eastern Sg to hold back customer's premium without paying interest ?? Totally disappointed with Great Eastern Sg and will not ever buy any policy from them anymore.

What a disappointing insurance. You pay for many years and when is the time to cover and help they are backing off. 0 support, bad communication, LOG was issued twice with wrong estimations. Literally joke. Patient health means nothing to them because my wife is forced to go twice for surgery where in fact they could do it one time and save themselves money. Where is the logic?
