Nice little cafe tucked in an obscure HDB block. It’s a spot non-drivers will find close to impossible to locate cos it’s far from all MRTs. But the food is actually pretty good! Limited seating though… portions can be a bit small.

Grillhood is a quaint eatery tucked away at the ground floor of a HDB block. I had the grilled pork ribs with buttered corn and mixed greens salad. The pork ribs were super tender and juicy, one of the better ones I have tried in Singapore! Portion sizes were just nice for me. The service staff is also friendly and polite.

Waffles taste good with quality ice cream but they forgotten to drizzle chocolate sauce at times... Have tried Cajun chicken, Lamb Shank, Spaghetti all are very yummy.. only bad point is price for the mains are too steep and potions is small... I wan to emphasize is really quite pathetic with the price point. Even my small eaten 11 years old feel so little and not full after eating.

Nice cosy cafe/ restaurant with good food and service. Food did take slightly long but worth the wait.. highly recommend the quesadillas which everyone is raving about - it really is a must try.

the lamb shank stew is huge, i also like the sides of mash potato. the lamb stew is kinda different than what i was expecting, it being slightly thicker and spicy. tried pairing the lamb stew sauce with the mash potatoes and it is surprisingly good.

Nice quiet cafe. Price is cafe price - mains go from $9 onwards. As shared by many, quesadilla is nice - filled with mushroom, chicken and mozzarella. Also has lamb shank which comes with a prata option, if u don't like rice. Very friendly staff and able to recommend menu according to your preferences. Nice cafe!

Nice neighbourhood cafe with odd mishmash of western and local dishes. It was a busy evening and we waited close to 30 minutes for our orders. The Sambal Stingray with rice ($16.90) came with a chunky cut, served on a grilled banana leaf. I liked the way the sambal sauce was done, it was more savoury-sour than sweet and was noticeably less oily than other popular sambal stingray stalls. We chose a side of salad and mashed potatoes to go with the Grilled Chicken Chop ($10.90). The black pepper sauce that came with it was overly salty, it reminded me of concentrated marmite/chicken essence than the usual, it's great as a dipping but don't douse your chicken in it. The mashed potatoes was flavourful with creamy-milky notes that tasted almost cheesy. Plain water (not from the tap) was served without asking, and we appreciated that no GST and service charge came with our bill. We ordered two mains to share amongst three but the owners were very accomodating and did not kick up a fuss like some places. Now that we know the mash tastes so great, would be back for their Bangers and Mash next.

Revisited this cafe and it has new menu items! So good that i have to update my review! Ordered quesasilllas, ayam pongteh stewed, kimchi otah burger and niku udon Updated review - food were all fantastic. Chef obviously has great skills in ensuring all the dishes are tasty! - Americano coffee was very fragrant according to my coffee addict husband. - still enjoyed the udon as before. Sliced pork isnt the best.. but the highlight for me is the soup stock drizzled with fried garlic oil. So tasty! - the ayan pongteh stewed (chicken potato stew) was delicious. The flavours were absorbed into the chicken n potato n tender. ? - its a lot of food for a family of 4 but everything on point! Glad we have a cafe to go to in this area! =================================== Visited this place yesterday and it was so good! Read that is very popular during pre covid. When we were there, we didn’t have to wait long for our food and wow! Blown away by it! Highly recommended. Their Cajun chicken is so value for money and so good. Crispy skin, tender meat. ??? Will come by to try their highly raved quesadillas next time!
