GUG Preschool @ Tampines HQ (by Growing Up Gifted) - 300 Tampines Ave 5

Dear GUG, Thank you for making learning so much easier and giving my girl such a strong foundation. When she first joined in N2, we were quite concern that she didn’t know her alphabet. But she picked up the Zoophonics in a few weeks and could do the actions of all the 26 alphabet letters, and started to learn to read the school’s phonic readers. Our girl loves all her teachers since N2 and the school curriculum is enriching. She would come home and ‘teach’ us all the fun topics and cookery she learned in school! We especially want to thank Teachers Ash and Tina for their efforts and care.

The curriculum and teachers here make schooling fun and enjoyable and there's been very good progress in our children. Although Covid took a toll on many childcares, but the school was professional in meeting the challenges and supportive to families. Bravo GUG!

I have just attended a school tour with GUG in Tampines, absolutely impressed with their curriculum and have decided to enroll my child. They even dropped me an email with best mode of transport and carparking facilities without me requesting. Ticked all the boxes. Recommend all parents to go for a school tour to understand what they have to offer

I want to be clear that I am not a staff member or a pervious staff of the school to write this review. My child is currently enrolled in the school and to protect the child, I choose to express my opinion, publicly and anonymously about the school in hopes that the school will improve. I do not believe an email, or an in-person meeting will be beneficial as it will only stay between the person in charge and the management. My voice, I assure you, is not the only parent speaking about below statements. We must be heard publicly for any change to occur. Over the years, I have seen the school, GUG Tampines, went from a quiet school to a bustling school with a lot of happy students and from what I felt, happy teachers. It turned quickly that this year, I have noticed large number of teachers leaving, and recently, the principal. I am unsure of what is happening in the school, and it is very concerning. It is even more concerning that nurturing teachers, who have been there for a few years, are leaving and being replaced with younger and inexperienced teachers (and even those teachers are quickly leaving in a matter of weeks) The kids have already developed a relationship with the teachers and suddenly, teachers are coming and going in matters of weeks. I understand that this profession has a high teacher turn-over, but it was not like this in the past years at GUG. It’s been an absorbent number of teachers leaving in the past half year. Undervalued teachers and over worked teachers teaching multiple classrooms, and not to mention, COVID cases which causes short staffing issues from teachers to support staff to admins. I suspect there are internal issues and management is unable to retain good teachers at a happy and safe environment. The school has undervalued the teachers and the teachers are leaving the school. This will impact the quality of education in the school tremendously, and not to mention our children. School fees have increased recently, but I have not seen the value from it. I understand things cost more now a days, and I am happy to pay the increase to support the school. But it hasn’t resulted in a better experience or even maintaining the status quo. If the fees are not going to where it will best be utilized, then where is it going? If the management would like to reply to my concerns, no meetings or email is necessarily. Please also do not flag this review down in Google as inappropriate in attempt to remove this review. Please reply here publicly as I’m sure other parents would like to hear what action will be taken from here on. Thank you for taking the time to read this and hope to hear from management and have a positive change in the school.

My younger daughter had been with GUG since 8 month, from the Novena branch all the way to the Tampines branch. In fact, my elder daughter who is now 14 years old was also a former GUG student. I love the friendly teachers in GUG. Looking at my daughter's performance, I have no words to describe the positive vibes and dedication of the teachers in GUG. Once again, thank you GUG teachers.

Thank you GUG for giving our son a good foundation. We appreciate meeting Ms Parvin last week, she took time to help us understand how the school will give extra support to help my son improve on his focus in class. He likes going to school every day. Pity now water play is suspended. That is his favourite and always looking forward to it!

A big thank you to the team at GUG!! Its been a long time coming for me to show my gratitude to all at GUG. Recently bumped into one of the teachers with my kids at Tampines Mall, my kids still recognized her and gave her a big hug. Was informed that GUG has opened a school in Tampines. My girls went to GUG and are all grown up now. I have been posted to New Zealand and the UK and one of my biggest worry was if our kids would be able to cope with the change in environment and education exposure. Am glad to let all parents looking into a preschool that the experience you get from GUG is internationally relevant. We are back in Singapore now and I wish GUG all the success in their growth and expansion. Kudos to all teachers past and present!!

We just read GUG was voted top 3 preschool in Tampines and wanted to chime in our Congrats! Our daughter first attended your baby enrichment program and we enjoyed the classes so much. That gave us confidence to enrol her to your preschool. Usually she is quite shy and clingy to her mama, so it was surprising how quickly she settled into full day program. This is assuring for us parents because it shows that she feels safe and is happy in school. GUG has a very friendly environment, the teachers go out of their way to take care of the kids, and the quality of curriculum and learning is high here. We are grateful to have found this school for our daughter.
