One of the best experiences for trading in our old car for our first Mercedes-Benz with Joseph and team. They ensured everything was taken care of before handing the car over to us. This isn't VinCar or Cars and Coffee that everyone had heard of. Having worked in the auto industry, I never imagined that one day I would buy a used car from a 2nd hand dealer I had never heard of. 5 star reviews throughout didn't help either as it felt too fake. Here's a honest review of my experience at GV Automobile - and it is pretty good. I'm giving this 4 stars simply because I wouldn't trust 5 star reviews myself. I first met up with Darryl - without him, I highly doubt I would have made a purchase at GV. Darryl, like me, was a car person. He cares and knows what to look out for in a car, maintain and ensure it is in good condition. Now I had in mind a few models that I wanted to checkout. Darryl not only knew the car - but he also knew a bit more about their condition, histories and whether they were a good buy. Now I had been viewing a few cars from different dealers over the weeks - none of them were good. In fact so many listings drove me mad. Sgcarmart was filled with direct owner listings that were actually consignment sellers. People who knew nothing about the model they were selling except were in to make a cut for themselves. All I wanted was a good car with a good maintenance record. I had wasted so much effort and time, not to mention transport $ to view rubbish dealers and listings. GV Automobiles' listings on the other hand were honest and true to their word. At GV, Darryl knew what he was selling. He also knew what I would be concerned with and SHOULD be concerned with. Together we decided on a well maintained bulletproof Camry which the previous owner had taken excellent care of. Despite being a COE car, even its spare tyre compartment was in a flawless condition. It also had an excellent service record which I verified at Borneo Motors through some friends. To make the deal sweeter, Darryl sold me an upgrade for warranty, a new paintwork, new tanned leather seats as well as service and repairs so that I get the best possible brand new feel he could offer. Obviously I was super skeptical about all this - and i knew how much they would roughly cost. Overall still a pretty good deal - but I just couldn't trust yet. His colleague Kenny ensured proper follow up of the things needed to be done - and surprisingly, I got a new paintwork, new seats and repairs within a week! Stuff like these takes 2 weeks at least. However with proper scheduling and planning, I had an amazingly low downtime. Good job Kenny. As this was too good to be true, I went to my own workshop after collecting the car to verify - and even he was amazed by the car's condition and quality of work. Paintjob wasn't botched. The leather seats were of high quality, perforated and stock looking. Most aftermarket seats tend to be tacky, but this wasn't that kind. The car, its internals and everything was solid. I now have 100% trust in Darryl, and if he says that a car's good to go - you can trust him. With COEs skyrocketing these days, there are plenty of dealers out to make a killing on used cars. At least at GV, they bother to look up and get to know their cars. Hard to find a dealer who isn't all about money these days. These guys know how to treat customers right and get the best deal for them - and that will carry them far. Really happy with my purchase. It looks new and drives beautifully.
