★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The village ruins are located in Thomson Nature Park. Short walk from the park entrant and easily accessible. You could see the stairs to house, walls and even cooking stove for pigs. Cooling trail as it is mostly shaded by trees.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Hainanese abandoned village is located in the newly opened Thomson Nature Park. A true attraction as the 5 trails lead us to the old village houses where ruins, mostly covered by the forest can be seen.
The village was established around 1900 by people coming from Hainan. Some started farming and others worked as laborer's in various trades. The remaining ruins we can see are more from the 1930's and it was abandoned around 1970. A rare site of Singapore history not to be missed.
