Very curt and unprofessional service. The shopkeeper refused to give additional packet of sauce when she gave only gave one packet for 6 large kuehs we ordered. Our request for an additional packet was rudely refused even though we reasoned with her that she would have given a packet for smaller order (say 2 kuehs) to the other customers anyway. It is mind boggling how some shopkeepers become rude and unprofessional just because their businesses are doing well. Itโ€™s time for us to stop patronising such shops with no basic level of courtesy.

Enjoyed the soon kueh made with bamboo shoot fillings. The skin was soft yet didnโ€™t break too easily.

ๆฝฎๅทžๅŒๆ‹ผ! Hard to get such excellent traditional teochew mooncake. This old school bakery is really a gem in west Singapore.

Old school traditional cake shop. They do sell a wide range of cakes, kueh and biscuits too. Personally, the taste is alright, nothing to shout about. Had this feeling that their standard do dropped over the years. Was pretty excited to see this shop that day, but the taste was rather disappointing.

This is an awesome old school snack/cake shop so I don't know why they are not 5 star out of 5 ! Apart from traditional kuehs and snacks on sale, they managed to catch up with times by having other contemporary varieties such as steamed Japanese sweet potatoes that can rival Donki Don at economical prices. Great for my paleo diet needs too. There are also unusual variety of the soon kueh such as pumpkin and shrimp fillings. The tubs of chilli paste are so delicious and good value for money. Non of that preservative taste to it ! Staff are friendly and efficient and they are opened til 9pm everyday ! I Thumbs up ! I wished I lived closer to where they are !

Itโ€™s a decent local shop selling local delicacies. The soon kueh is really made from soon (bamboo shoot). You might not find this filing common nowadays. Their turnip filing is not bad too. The skin dough is translucent and soft. I had it microwave for 30 second before serve, and itโ€™s taste great. My taste is on the bald side, as I enjoyed the original taste of ingredients. It might be slightly salty flavored but itโ€™s ok (itโ€™s just me try to eat less salty). Definitely would pick up some if Iโ€™m around this area next time.

Saw this old school store here. They sell nice looking huat kueh, soon kueh, fried fritters, biscuits, Steamed tapioca, steamed sweet potatoes, glutinous rice, rice dumplings. Very interesting, that reminds me of my aunt who owned a shop in balestier and later shift to lavender. Bought the fried fritters and ่€ๅ…ฌ้ฅผfor mom. The fried fritters has too much flour, hence I didn't eat... just to share, k thks bye..
