Tasted authentic and homecooked, unlike those MSG-filled army stew broths from some restaurants. Food was packed perfectly as well. Happy to have discovered Hororok through Chope and for the quality of food served, it’s really affordable too. Would definitely come back for more. 감사합니다 !
L	L Y on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is a Netflix series on A Nation of Broth, featuring Korean food. I hope Hororok Soups and Stew will benefit from it! My first time here.... and I was amused by the kiosk way of seating. A simulation of street food eating in Korea. Excellent if you are eating alone or with a friend. It stops at 2. What I was impressed with: 1. The sundubu-jigae and the kimchi-jigae we had, was awesome. There was no MSG after-thirst and it was sufficiently authentic. Each bowl was individually cooked. 2. Melona 메로나Ice-Cream - First time eating Korean ice-cream. It was really awesome after jigae meal. What I was not impressed: 1. Using disposables for eating (missing that Korean stainless steel spoon for drinking soup). 2. Not have hooks on the narrow kiosk table to hang our bags. Would I come back again? Yes, if the vicinity. And I prefer not to pack my jigae home because jigae is meant to to be drunk, piping hot.

j	jajaish on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice taste. Clean store. ePay. Biodegradable dapao pkg. Had the Chili Bae soup $8.90, plus $1.00 rice. Liked the label for the dapao so you know what’s what. Would go again, but would get the nice instead of the noodles $1.50.

Regular ($8.90) It is a budae jjigae(army stew) with quite a generous amount of ingredients for the price. However, the amount of stew given disappointed me on the first look already. The taste is average to me, just happy with the amount of ramyeon and ingredients. Maybe it will be better if served at the stall. Soondubu Jjigae Regular ($8.90) My friend tried this and she liked it. She thought that it was worth the price. I was just salty that it had more stew than mine. I tried some and thought it was average too. The takeaway packaging is really good, the service is great too. Just not sure if I will choose this over the other food stalls around.

Aside from the fact that it was SUPER watery, the soup was nowhere near hot… Their saving grace is most likely their portion given their location but it really isn’t a place where you can “hororok” (slurp) your soup. Super disappointed, hope they can improve….
n	nat g on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited Hororok to try their army stew but it wasn’t available so we had a kimchi jjigae and doenjang jjigae. Both were generous portions and soup was tasty. The serving of meat is more than enough and we enjoyed the meal. Forgot to collect our free ice cream as part of our chope voucher though! The store is a little cramped with no where to put our bags so it’s recommended to take away.
V	Victor Mo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly owner. My bowl was chocked full of ingredients. Army stew wasn't available so we had the Kimchi and Chilli Paste soup. Chilli didn't really suit my taste but Kimchi was good. Small place so you might have to wait a while.
