I ordered online from Horti website last July 5, 2020. After 1.5 weeks, I have not received the seeds that I have ordered. Being only within SG and circuit breaker eased out, I don't think it will take that long for a normal mail to arrive at your mailbox. - I followed up, July 14 via email. No reply. - I followed up again via email on July 16. No reply. - I called on July 17 morning, asking for the status of my order. The staff said she'll call me back. No call back. - I called later on the day, asking for the status. The same person said - "Oh yes, we have mailed it out". I asked when did they mail it out, she said "Oh we mail it out again yesterday since you did not receive the first one.' Really, they don't think I'm a nut to believe them that Singpost lost the first batch! THEY DID NOT DISPATCH MY ORDER IN THE FIRST PLACE. Never going to order nor buy from this company again. (Update 7 Aug 2020) Updating my review based on the owners reply. First of all, my apologies as I might have gone overboard in my initial review, like calling myself a nut. Now, to give some facts based on the reply: 1) Slow delivery during lockdown. Fact: Order was done on July 5, Phase 2. Nothing to do with lockdown. 2) Review ID was based on my Google profile. Fact: Owner replied and posted a data (full name) from a private transaction done in their website without permission. Checking on any violation the company has done here. 3) Conflicting reason given by company for the delay Fact: Different reasons were given, not sure which one holds true. 4) Paypal's turnaround time to update their merchant I might or might not update this, depending on when Paypal will get back to me on the query that I raised to them. I hope this is the last time that I am going to update this post. For me, anyone makes a mistake. Acknowledging one's mistake is probably the hardest though the bravest one can do. Any company who makes a mistake and acknowledges it, I'm sure would pacify a customer.

Bought multiple packets of various seeds from Horti. Capsicum, kailan, kangkong, bokchoi, corn, beans etc to name a few. Found extremely poor germination rates in all. You'd be lucky if you get 3-4 seeds that germinate from each packet. Worst of all, their seeds seem to be highly contaminated with mould spores. I emailed them my query and got a terse reply that said "Answer: Seed needs to be damp, not wet for germination" I told them I used the "wet paper towel technique" and germinating in ground and in small containers with suitable potting mix, and all they were interested in was word play. Good job, Horti. Good job. So if you're looking to germinate mould, Horti is a good bet.

The seeds never germinate. Sheng Siong seems to carry only these seeds packs, so have bought a few over the last couple of years in the hope something will grow, no luck so far. Very poor quality seeds. And the trollish and immature response from the "owner" below shows what they think of customer feedback, it's probably this negative energy that kills their seeds. There are smaller nurseries on Carousell that are much better value for money and grow beautifully.

The Marigold seeds where after using 5 whole unexpired packets(different Marigold varieties), not a single seed germinated. For the zinnias, it is a hit and miss, sometimes I get 90% germination, sometimes I get only 5 seedlings (less than 10% germination). Of the morning glories, only one germinated. Germination rates are inconsistent and can sometimes be very poor. (in the case of zinnias) In short, if you are looking for interesting zinnia varieties, go for Horti. Get other flower seeds from elsewhere. Initially I thought I failed at germinating marigolds because of "external factors" and "purple fingers" and "poor germination practises" BUT I tried other packets of Marigold Seeds (from Baba) and I got a big Marigold Bush with tons of flowers on it. The seeds from Baba germinated within 5 days of just throwing it onto the soil and watering (as easy as that). For Horti's Marigolds, I placed them under grow lights, soaked them in wet tissue paper, direct sowed, buried, left them on the surface, soaked in water overnight, and not one sprouted!!!! I tried them at different times of the year and I tried every single germination method out there (save for tissue culture, orchid seed germination and carnivorous plant seed germination) and not one would sprout!!! Clearly, it is the poor quality of the Marigold seed, given that I managed to very easily germinate the Marigold seed of other brand (Baba). Wasted close to $10 on the marigold packets, it was so demoralising to fail at germinating the easiest flower but then I realised it was not my fault but Horti's! (I managed to easily germinate marigold seed that I got from elsewhere [Baba]). Bok Choy, Cai Xin, Kailan and Nai Bai seed packets are small with not many seeds. Though most of the seeds germinate, the harvest is poor with a low yield. (At most 30 vegetable plants during harvest). If you compare to Baba seeds, I can get one packet of Bok Choy seeds and use it for a very long time. There has got to be at least a 100 seeds per packet in Baba packets. Baba seed packets are only slightly more expensive than Horti and yet the germination, yield during harvest far surpasses that of Horti. In short, unless you are looking for unique varieties like red Bok Choy, get Baba. I recently bought some coleus seeds, but after germinating them and growing them, I realised that they were spearmint and not coleus. I contacted Horti for support but there was no reply. So now I am left with spearmint growing wild instead of the Coleus I want! Totally disatisfied with the customer service. I also felt quite cheated paying for seeds that were something else from what I wanted. (I ended up with a whole packet of spearmint seeds instead of coleus seeds). Felt scammed! Dill seeds worked well with high germination rate. The spearmint seeds in the coleus packet also worked well with a somewhat high germination rate. So I guess if you want herb seeds, Horti is the place to go. In conclusion, DO NOT GET: vegetable seeds (except for interesting varieties like the inferno Pak Choy) flower seeds (except zinnia) GET: Herb seeds EDIT: And to add, their petunia seeds do not germinate. Tried 2 packets of their colour parade and not one emerged. Tried petunias seeds from elsewhere using the same conditions. Almost all germinated.

I bought petunia seeds and spearmint germinated. Wrote an email and got zero response. If you are looking to grow random plants in your garden from unknown seeds which is not what is stated on the packet. This is the place to go to. Bought a few more petunia seed packs and zero germination as well. I am all prepared for a very spiteful response from the company in the comments section below here as seen from other negative reviews.
