★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have always been intrigued by the queue at Hua Kee Chicken Rice in Redhill Market. Finally had a chance to try it today when the queue was short at about 1120am. The chicken breast meat that was separately served was incredibly soft, juicy and tender, it sort of melted in my mouth. The chicken rice was fragrant without being greasy. The chicken soup was just right without any hint of msg or too saltish. Would have been perfect if the portion was slightly bigger. For $4, I am glad I have great chicken rice (healthier version without the grease) in my neighbourhood. May this never be found by Michelin.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried it yesterday Morning :) Very nice taste. Chili and rice is FRAGRANT. The chicken meat is tender. I feel that this stall is more on traditional style. Overall very delicious. Worth my time to Q.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Of the chicken rice I've had so far, Hua Kee served the best chicken. It was silky and succulent. I have had better rice, however. The rice at Hua Kee could have been more flavorful and well cooked. Problems, however, were the small portion size, and the bones present in the chicken.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Owner will try to upsell, but just dont buy more than what you can eat. Chicken is quite tender and the sauce is not oily and sweet. Rice is well cooked anx the flavor is quite balanced

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good chicken rice but the uncle has a bad attitude. The price list clearly stated that chicken thigh is $3.50 but he kept trying to upsell it to a “medium” plate at $4 because he’ll only give 2-3 pieces of meat for the “small” plate. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall, this stall serves chicken rice of decently good standard at a hawker price tag. Ordered the Hainanese chicken breast and rice set that came with soup on the side for 4.50.
The dish was light yet not tasteless and highly aromatic. Breast meat was tender with light soy sauce - sesame oil concoction drizzled over it. Rice had the right amount of oil to impart just enough fragrance without being too jelak .
