★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was craving for Jalan tua kong mee Pok and thought I would try since there is one now so nearby.
But was thoroughly disappointed. While they are probably a franchisee, they are certainly not the real deal.
It is perhaps a little better than your average coffee shop mee Pok but doesn't live up to the ah Lim branding.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very very bad attitude! I was there to da bao my food. Bought 3 mee pok. Then after she cook all 3, i ask for additional soup pack. Then the lady shouted at me saying 'why cant you say it at 1 go!' With a super bad attitude! Then i jus kindly replyed i scare she will fotget. Then after she pack everything, i ask for chili padi. She pass me 1 pack. So i kindly ask for another pack. She shouted and me again!!! She said 'how to give u another pack when i only have 1 pack!!!! Usally i don't expect any service for hawker or coffee shop. But this is really terrible! I will never buy from them again. It really boils me up when u see the way she shout n that kind of bad attitude. Its Super rude!

Big pluses for the fresh and tender minced pork, fishballs and fishcake slices. 2 pieces of medium peeled prawns were overly treated with bicarbonate. Noodle was very under seasoned and lacking color despite opting for chilli and vinegar. Had to season with own fish sauce. 2 bits of lard were yummy but insufficient. Zero veg content. Portion was ok after $1 upsize. Total $8.80 excl delivery fee. Not good value. Ok if no other options in vicinity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rude. Just plain rude. Owners are shouting and chiding customers, and it isn't even crowded... no reason for the hurried and impatient attitude.
Food isn't great. Won't be back ever again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was shocked when the man raised his voice in mandarin at me when I wanted to buy from his stall: "Hello hello what you want, say!!!!" This is shouting. Im not owing money, I dont deserve this type of poor service. Never will I step in again. His voice becomes softer when talking to his fellow female staff and I notice that he doesnt raise his voice at guys, he raises his voice at female customer, women and maids the most.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Mee Pok Dry has the same taste as the ones in Simpang Bedok. However the fishball has a kind of taste; maybe the fish not so fresh.
Nevertheless for $3 bowl still pretty decent and acceptable in my opinion!
