Overpriced for poor quality education. The reality of this university is that, Chinese students dominate the majority and the course contents are tuned down for their comfort level (language and skill wise). Some of the events carried out as part of course content is often sponsored by Chinese ownership companies and therefore no matter how good you perform the prices and recognition will automatically go to chinese student circles. Also the student-help staff is judgemental and not helpful at all. It's usual the Finance section mixes up receipts. As a foreign student in Singapore, you are not allowed to partake in any other intership or work, so the whole duration will be stuck up here. and put up with arrogant lecturers like Ms Pamela Wildheart. Not worth losing your sanity, money and time at all.

Years of discrimination as a foreigner It is absolutely true, and I deeply understood that it is not easy to get a job in Singapore especially for foreign students. However, as a foreigner, the school could at least give me a hope. Just a hope would do. Oftentimes, the staff & lecturers discouraged me to even think about getting a job in this country by mentioning how difficult it will be. University itself don’t allow foreigners to take internship. First time I hear a university without internship. Career fairs were also useless for me since all of the representatives I talked just stopped talking to me once I mentioned that I am a foreigner (I’m not over exaggerating, it really happened). School emails about career opportunities were all meant for local students (don’t even understand why they sent those emails to me) I can list hundreds of experiences that I felt discriminated throughout the course of the Uni life when it comes to looking for career opportunities, but not a single experience where I was given a hope. I’m merely talking about hope. I’m NOT talking about how they should have spoon fed me. You’ll have a lot of free time if you constantly complete the assignments. So within the 2 years, discover what you are truly passioned about, and sharpen your skills beside getting good grades. Taking a specific course doesn’t mean you must aim to work in the industry within that scope. The only thing that I appreciate is that, there was a plenty of time where I could discover what I am truly passioned about which can become a decent job, and keep sharpening the skills that could actually be my core strength. Forget about getting support or even getting an opportunity from the school. They won’t even care if you’re a foreigner. Please note that this is my very own experience, and I am not saying that you’ll definitely experience what I have experienced. But generally, I felt to my core that the treatment of the school towards foreign students was not right.

Was not informed I would be expelled after dropping a unit despite getting HDs for other units. Was also not informed I would be expelled AFTER the NEXT semester had already gone on for two weeks. Did not continue as I have lost confidence in administrative staff. Not a good school.

I would give it zero stars if I could. The school lacks respect and their only concern is money and how you’re able to pump money into their organisation(I would say terrible marketing if you’re going to treat potential students with such disrespect and a condescending attitude) Just wanted to enquire about admission process but ended up having to book a “virtual consultation” which was actually a patronising interrogation. As course councillors aren’t you suppose to encourage potential students and SELL your course programs? But no instead they chose to discriminate your educational background, mocking your financial capacity. I was also told to lie on my resume if I wanted to proceed with my application, otherwise it might not work out according to the advice by the regional manager, as he kept repeating “yeah it’s fine if it doesn’t work out” Furthermore, doesn’t JCU’s core values involve mutual respect, integrity?! - “We ignite and support a passion for learning in our community” Where’s the encouragement then? If this is what integrity, authenticity and mutual respect means to JCU, I’m truly disappointed.

Do not attend this school if you have an alternative. Although most of the lecturers and tutors in the Psychology course are friendly and helpful, their whole admin team is ridiculously inadequate. They are only good at hounding for school payments (EVEN AFTER PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE). Enjoyed my undergraduate studies here and gained a lot of knowledge. But in a fast tracked course that is already stressful, the admin team will make your life hard.

I would rather give no stars if possible. Very disappointed. Ethics is missing in JCU. They are not interested in the student, all they want is funds. We are not told if we did something wrong, or if there was a technical issue. Later if we fail, they hound us to pay to redo the course. Canteen food is good though.

Not recommendable, the teaching quality is bad! Most of the teachers do not make an effort to teach you, for real they just read out the slides or upload prerecorded video where they read out the slides. The F2F tutorials are useless, you do discuss the relevant topics for 30 min max and the rest of the time they just tell you about their personal life or any other unnecessary stuff or just leave class for something important (every week). Besides, their main focus is on promotion, the pay students to miss classes and take photos or videos. And regarding grades, they give HD very rarely because otherwise they are afraid that they cannot give account to JCU Australia. Do not come here!
