Bak Bao & char siew bao are good. Yip bao @ the size of an adult’s palm cost $3.8 but small one are equally good.

Sticky rice chicken/ Lo mai kai so so..? tasteless compare to the best I ate at Yuhua. Pork belly bun/ Kou rou bao was juicy & nice. Like it. ? Roast pork bun/ Char siew bao was nice, can eat. ?

Juicy chicken pau at $2, with a teh to accompany it. Nice for a quick breakfast at the start of the day.

This is an update review on their latest edition - Tanjong Rhu wanton noodles. This is the replacement of the earlier soya sauce chicken, which apparently was a failure. I think it only survived for less than 12 months. This is my first and last time here for the wanton noodles. They claimed to be the 8th best in SG, I seriously don’t know who the hell voted for them and frankly, in my opinion, it’s one of the worst. I ordered wanton noodles and wanton soup. Let’s start with the wanton soup. A big bunch of them were stuck together with skin detached. Worst still the seller only gave me stem of the veggies. She tried to do that for my wanton noodles till I asked her not to. I felt like asking who is she saving the veggies leaves for. Anyway, the noodles were a failure too. Felt like Maggie mee instead of the usual wanton noodles. Taste was blend. In fact, really bad as I couldn’t even finish both. No more next time.

The Char Siew Pau ($1) and Big Pork Pau ($1.90) are good. The skin was light and the filling are the moist and saucy kind. See photos for skin and filling ratio. Lor Mai Kai ($2) chicken was juicy but overall its pretty average fair. I’ve experienced the other reviewers’ mention of their “friendly” service. But the pocket friendly prices made up for it.

They serve a wide range of Paos and tim sum delicacies like the delicious Siew Mai we ate. I even bought Cha Siew Baos (not oily healthy but delicious) back for breakfast tomorrow!

Actually we are expecting the taste to be superb but it’s kinda ‘at par’ i’m giving them 5 stars because the price is cheaper than other dim sum shop I’ve dined before. The thousand yrs pork porridge tasted gewdd, the siu may, hakau tasted just okay, the pork ribs were tremendous. The portion size was just fair.
