Kinderland Preschool @ Siglap - 6 Lakme St

Couldn’t be more grateful to Megan’s Principal Teacher Elaine and all her teachers for showering her with so much love and guidance during her time with Kinderland Siglap. Megan transferred to Kinderland Siglap about 2 years ago and I can really see the difference in the quality of the teachers, activities and the school environment and what it has done for her. Besides learning indoors, the children get to learn outdoors through the garden, playground and sand, water play. The teachers recognised that each child is different and took note of Megan’s strengths and weaknesses and worked really closely with us as parents to bring out the best in her ?I am sure Megan will be putting all that she has learnt to good use in Primary School. Kudos to Kinderland Siglap for leading the kids through a tough year!

If you are looking at a place that provides empathy, a listening ear and guidance for your child, Kinderland Preschool @ Siglap is the place to be. We previously placed our child at other places but found that she was not learning and no attention was given to her. Upon recommendation, we came to Kinderland Preschool @ Siglap. Kinderland Preschool @ Siglap have a strong pool of teachers who are great in the way they teach. There is a strong balance between Relationship and Tasks and guides the children to develop a wholesome perspective of life, self-care and confidence. The teachers are also able to provide feedback to parents so that we can partner them in the children's development. I can't emphasise enough that Kinderland Preschool has done the right thing by recruiting teachers full of empathy. I think this is the critical success factor in this industry. I can't thank enough of Principal Elaine and her team, including some of the most must-have mentions such as ex-Principal Jasmine, Teacher Zhang (Chinese), Teacher Erica, Teacher Liana, Teacher Teng (Chinese), Teacher Cynthia, Teacher Lu (Chinese), Teacher Chu (Chinese) etc...

2 years on, it’s Kyea’s turn to graduate from Kinderland Siglap. Kyea is the younger of my 2 children. I can safely say that she thoroughly enjoyed her time in Kinderland Siglap, especially with the presence of her K2 teachers, Elaine and 滕老师. During her brother’s December school holidays, I asked her if she will like to stay home and play with him instead, but her answer was immediate, NO. She likes her school, her teachers and her friends. From December, she started counting down to the last day of her school, not with joy but with a tinge of sadness. I am truly appreciative of her teachers showering her with love, attention and care. Principal Elaine’s enthusiasm can clearly be felt, always taking time out of her busy schedule to update us on Kyea’s progress and answering our many queries. She doesn’t find it bothersome, even after working hours. Kinderland Siglap is lucky to have her as their principal! 滕老师 is ever so kind and patient, and with her guidance, I can see marked improvements in both my children’s Chinese during K2. 谢谢滕老师!

Nothing less than 5 stars .. Just down the road parents come to this wonderful place ‘Kinderland’ (Siglap) where little ones grow up to become wonderful, awesome and well rounded kids! We have seen our eldest grow up from a clueless Tod to become now an more independent, confident, and curious learner as well. She not only acquired many important skills like reading independently (which I still can’t believe how a K2 child can read almost any sentences I can give her, eg, news articles from the internet ??), phonics, coding, and even keeping up to date with current affairs. Also critical are important life skills like social etiquette, building bonds with classmates, and Character building. Now I can say, along with other parents, that I am a proud parent of a child who is prepared for her new journey ahead. P/s: during year end ‘precovid’ concert, I am always impressed by the k2 class. Their ability to perform, their solo speeches, their capability, leaves a lasting impression for their younger bros and sis as to how these ducklings would soon grow to become elegant swans some day ?. But these are only made possible with the tireless efforts from Kinderland Teacher putting in so much effort behind the scenes in nurturing their students. Their caring attention to details for each and every child is personal, attentive, and with love. They also endeavour to provide a safe environment for them to learn and learn. My special thanks to Principle Elaine, Teng 老师, teacher Sim, teacher Cynthia, Wei 老师，Lu 老师, Zhang 老师（Ex Chinese) & Ex principal Jasmine, + all the very wonderful Kinderland Teachers who had ever taught or took care of our girl. I don’t think it is an easy job but I am sure Kinderland Siglap have perfected it. They have experienced Teachers and a system that works! Oh and not forgetting ‘aunty ah hua’ who helps to make sure the compound is always so clean and neat for the children. I truly believe my eldest would miss her friends and teachers dearly now that she is moving on to primary one soon. But I guess the fun part is that my second one now in the nursery class will get to experience her sister’s journey all over again ? !

We were very fortunate to find Kinderland for my two girls. The teachers are extremely dedicated and committed. The curriculum is structured, well-rounded and comprehensive. I was worried for my girls’ hanyu pinyin and contemplated enrichment class for them many times but we realised it wasn’t necessary because the Chinese teachers taught them well and laid a good foundation for their P1 education. The school principal (Elaine) is experienced, caring and manages the children well. She keeps parents updated on the key milestones and works closely with parents to maximise each child’s potential.

Both my kids spent their pre-school years at Kinderland Siglap and getting them to go through their pre-school education at Kinderland Siglap has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for them so far! The school is very well maintained and clean, brightly lit and conducive for learning. It has a large garden and playground, which is safe for kids and they get to enjoy outdoor play safely without having to travel out of the school compound, unlike some other preschools. The kids learned a lot about botany, particularly for my boy who has developed a very keen interest in plants and even earth worms, caterpillars and more! As parents, we are all concerned about our children’s health. The meals served are healthy and the teachers ensure that the kids have a balanced diet and always have their way of getting them to eat vegetables! I’m comforted that even if I can’t get them to eat their greens at home, they are at least doing that in school! :) I would like to highlight that the teachers are very attentive and sensitive to the children’s diet and allergies. It really is a feat to have to deal with so many children and their varying habits, temperament and dietary requirements! And most importantly, the teachers at Kinderland Siglap are the most dedicated and caring ones I’ve seen so far. In addition to making learning fun for the kids, they focus a lot on communicating - be it public speaking in front of the class or the private chats the teachers have with my kids. And these little private chats are testament to how close and comfortable my kids are with the teachers. Special shout out to Teacher Elaine (who is the principal) and Teng Lao Shi, who are the teachers for K2 class. They help to build a strong foundation for the kids and help them prepare for their Primary School life. They ensure the kids are all-rounders, and are well developed not just academically but also in terms of social skills, etiquette and mental wellness. It’s sad to see that both my kids will end their chapter with Kinderland Siglap as they have both graduated. But I’m sure they will still visit the teachers and will always remember their great experiences at Kinderland Siglap!

We transferred our boys to Kinderland Preschool @ Siglap from another school and were worried that they would have difficulty fitting in. However, the teachers were incredible in welcoming them and helping them adjust. It is challenging being a preschool teacher nowadays, but my wife and I are amazed at the dedication, enthusiasm, and teamwork displayed by the teachers. The teachers provide constant feedback on each child’s development and are always so patient and nurturing towards them. Our boys really enjoy attending school and would often share with us what they learnt in school. Special mention to Principal Elaine, who is a very hands-on principal. She teaches the K2 students, but that does not affect her role as a principal. She is attentive to the development of all the children from the other classes and provides valuable feedback to parents. My eldest son is so comfortable with Principal Elaine and his Chinese teacher, Teng Lao Shi, that he is able to confide in them and have “heart to heart” talk, sharing his worries and concerns with them. They have become a big part of his life and we know for sure that they will always have a special place in his heart. We are very fortunate to be able to work closely with the teachers at Kinderland Siglap to provide an enriching and consistent learning environment in school and at home. We highly recommend Kinderland Preschool @ Siglap to every parent!

Kinderland@Siglap is the best! Elaine and her team of Teachers are encouraging, empathetic and caring. They have strong teaching and character building principles, which are thoughtfully applied based on each child’s personality and behaviour. My boys (6 years old and 3 years old) are very different in personalities but their Teachers — Teacher Cynthia, Lu 老师, Elaine and Teng 老师, are able to bring out the best in them while inculcating the right values and boundaries. My eldest has just graduated and he had built such strong and wonderful friendship with his classmates and Teachers, Kinderland@Siglap feels more like a home to him instead of a school!
