been placed several orders from this place, the service and delivery speed are top compared to several other knife shops. Especially Joseph for providing kind assistance for my requests and answering my questions in clear details and timely manner.

A good selection of Japanese knives. I don’t know enough about Japanese knives to rate the quality of the offering and the knowledge of the staff. However I found there was not a great variety of styles. Staff person was very polite and helpful and seemed to know his stuff. I was given the collectible value of one model as a sale argument, which didn’t bother me that much, but still found quite awkward as I had not signalled any interest in this regard.

Always a pleasant experience coming here to purchase knives that will eventually become a lifetime companion in the kitchen. They have a good selection of knives and Joseph is always happy to explain which ones are more suitable for your needs.

Kitchin tools, as a retail business and service provider, is outstanding. Bought a few knives, replaced a ton of handles and everything is perfect every time. Amazing chat with Joseph always. Environment and service standard far exceeds expectations and are infinitely better than their competitor shop at Outram. I hope to see a larger selection soon!

TL;DR: nice aesthetic place to visit, window shop, have a chat and coffee, learn about knives and related cooking stuff. They even have coffee table books so you can act like you’re a cooking god while serving tidbits to your dinner party guests. For some reason, this shop did not show up on my radar until recently. As a knife nerd, it was delightful to finally talk knife stuff with another knife-obsessed fellow. I just like the shop’s vibe a little more than the shop at Outram, but this is one man’s personal preference. Joseph(?) knows his stuff well and eventually talked me into getting a Tanaka 1000 grit whetstone which I previously never heard of before. This shop specializes in mid to high range Japanese whetstones, Japanese knives mainly from Hitohira, and then other kitchen and grilling accessories, in this order respectively. (What this means for the uninitiated is “relatively expensive and very pretty kitchen equipment” - expensive to the layman, reasonable cost to those in the know. As always, you get what you pay for.) The not-so-nice part is that descriptions on half the items are sorely lacking on the website, so it’s hard to do an initial comparison for those used to online shopping. It’s easy to see a price tag and be turned off because the only info available is price, without knowing how the product performs. Would love more details on the website! For the cooking enthusiast who appreciates interaction with the salesperson, this is a shop worth looking at.

I been to so many knives stores and shops. I brought all my knives here. Really here u will have a experienced ex chef who provide a good service to anyone who loves their kitchen tools and knives alot. The Boss and Mr Joseph personally select their products to recommend here in their shop. No hanky or no COPY CAT from their competitors. Because they valued their knives and tools for the kitchen. Really know their stuff well. Thank you for providing me good service and do the same for others as well.. keep it up.
