La Creamery SG - 55 Chai Chee Dr

New ice cream boutique in Chai Chee neighbourhood. All flavours of ice cream are made in house behind the counter, proudly proclaimed by the young girl who served us. Ordered 2 flavours (cannot remember what flavours). Creamy and smooth, not overly sweet. I like. If only they introduce pistachio flavour soon…

Went for an ice cream waffle supper. The shop had more seats as compared to its neighbouring competitor. Staff as usual, friendly and eager to recommend their signature flavours of the day. However, I find that what I get is always different from what I expect. Staff have different opinions as to what to recommend. Sorbet with pu er waffle ok or not ok? Pu Er Waffles: Able to taste the pu er. The exterior is hard and interior moist and soft as though it’s undercooked. Not the best waffle but if you like crispy waffles, this might be for you. Thai Milk Tea scoop: More cream and milk taste than tea. Texture is okay. Hazelnut: Taste was good but the texture was super odd. It was lumpy and powdery :( I had ordered a pint of Osmanthus Chrysanthemum previously during the HA. Not a fan as well and it melts really quickly. Overall I feel like I haven’t found THE flavour for this shop. If only we get to taste the flavours before ordering. So far it has been quite disappointing whether taste/texture wise. Perhaps they need more time or I just haven’t got the luck to find the flavour I really like..

Very friendly staffs, pricing is also reasonable. Waffle is good too, the dark chocolate ice cream is not too sweet yet rich enough great balance of flavours.

The waffles are denser and not the airy kind, but that’s personal preference. Ice cream were good, especially the raspberry lychee rose. Will try the osmanthus next time.

The hot chocolate? drink was out of this world it’s super “GAO” ?. I love it!! As a Singaporean, you may have known the word “gao”, otherwise known as “thick”. Super filling and it’s a must to order!! Ice cream (white chrysanthemum and Speculoos) was pretty average even though it was said to be the shop’s best seller. Not a fan of Speculoos though, taste a little bit like the banana flavored poky in my opinion. Pu-er waffles’ smell great I’ll give it a 10/10, and for texture 6/10. Crispy on the outside and dense inside. Not a fan of it.

Writing this review while sat outside the shop, trying it out for the first time. The ice-creams are fabulous! I love tea flavours, and the white chrysanthemum was done perfectly; not too sweet, and creamy yet icy enough to be refreshing. We also had a pu-er waffle, which is as crispy and chewy as promised. Defo coming back.

Hazelnut + Osmanthus Jasmine Gelato on Waffles. As more late night ice cream shops pop up in neighbourhoods to a point where people actually have a choice to choose which ice cream shop to go. The more there is a need to offer a unique selling point so that you are the default choice. Ever since Birds Of Paradise, I have become a fan of floral-based gelato which are usually lighter to the palette and their osmanthus jasmine sure hits the spot.

Aromatic coffee, made the cones on the spot as we ordered. Sadly my taro coconut has finished so went ahead with White Chrysanthemum. Used to provide serviettes but they don't include it anymore. The staffs very bubbly and excited to introduce us to alternative flavours.
