★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Review is for Punggol Outlet at Oasis. First time visiting them. Bought 2 soups back and to my surprise, we found an "extra ingredient" inside my mum's Fish Soup ($6). There was a small piece of newspaper found. Fish used was Batang. For myself, I took the 苦瓜汤 ($6). Ingredients for Bitter Gourd soup is Minced Pork, Slice Pork, 1 Meat Ball, 1 Fishball, 1 Prawn, 2 Ngoh Hiang, some slice of abalone lookalike mushroom and of course Bitter Gourd. Personally I am not a Bitter Gourd person, but willing to give it a shot. The soup has it bitterness taste and acceptable for me. Price is nett with Rice. I suppose noodle also (not too sure). For take away, there is no additional charge for box.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lousy and expensive food. Terrible and very very expensive service is only good thing. Look at how much noodles are left behind. The soup is good? To me it is just normal. And we paid $28.50 for what u can get at hawker around $10.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent place for regular kopitiam food in an air conditioned setting. The spicy fish soup was slightly like watered down tom yam although the servers claim otherwise. The prawn paste chicken was tasty and crispy. Ngoh hiang was decent, just too many pork fat bits in it for my taste.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The signature soup had lots of stuff like a sling slices, meatballs, fish maw etc. Soup was flavourful and yummy. The ngoh hiang was average. I’ve tasted better elsewhere. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Just tried the black vinegar pork trotters. Nicely done but order some veg to go with it.

There are various options to choose from and you get a choice of rice or different noodle options for your carbs. Do take note of their reduced operating hours and days to avoid a wasted trip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fiancée came this mall to do her nails while I was getting massage at bedok 128. Drove over to meet up and decided to try this lao jiang soup out. So far, when we saw the word "soup", I knew this would be what my fiancée wants for dinner.
Indeed we came and ordered superior soup and I saw the hor fun which looks good so i ordered. She saw vinegar pork and said long time never eat. Heard their dessert not bad from counter but we were not looking for dessert tonight. ?
Food came as you can see from photo. None of them disappoints me. The hor fun was QQ (elastic), soup was decent and vinegar pork was a good praise!
Those who gave lowest rating i guess could be due to the specific food which you ordered. Maybe you can try others and give a chance to re rate this store! Cheers ((:

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I didn’t like the seafood soup. Thought the soup was kind of bland. Meat in soup was a bit tough. Noodle was better because of the pork lard bits. But the five spice fried pork is outstanding. Which is ironical, since this is supposed to be a soupy joint.
