Our all-time favourite choice of health supplements is from Links Nutritional. Their target audiences are probably patients who are probably already facing medical issues because we (as patients ourselves) would have expected supplements sold in hospitals to be of higher potency. Links fish oil (omega 3 EPA) was first introduced to us by chance when my parents were both patients of National Heart Centre. Their heart specialists had prescribed them with Links’ brand of omega 3 fish oil many years ago. And we have to admit that their products are good for us. Like all supplements out there in the market, they are not substitutes for medication and no quick fix to any medical issues. However, we swear by the Links omega 3 fish oil with regular exercise and a strict diet in tandem during its daily consumption. We can attest to the fact that the bad cholesterol of some family members have decreased with such a strict regime. For myself, I have been consuming for as many as 10 years even though I do not have any cardiovascular problems yet. I would highly recommend all adults to start consuming omega 3 and start exercising and eating healthily in hope for a good retirement. And some of the plus point for Links Omega 3 EPA is that it is Halal certified. And I also noticed that it’s a GMP-certified product which makes it a lot more reassuring to consume and indeed catered for patients who cares about what really goes into a capsule of fish oil! Hope that the manufacturer can keep up with its superb quality! Update 16 August 2021: bought a bottle of Links liquified calcium with vitamin D from SGH SingHealth retail pharmacy. It’s packaging looks really attractive and what caught my eyes was this vitamin K2 which is supposedly beneficial for heart health. The bottle has been doubly sealed over the cap and also comes with an aluminium seal when the bottle cap has been unscrewed. The liquid is beigey light yellow in colour and also tasted good! This is my first bottle of liquified calcium citrate and I hope to be able to continue taking it if it works for me! I don’t constipate after taking this product unlike some other brands of calcium supplement.
