โ โ โ โ โ Their thunder tea brown rice set tastes ? It's on par with any good thunder tea rice of similar price point. The thickness of the tea is just right.

โ โ โ โ โ This cost 8.90sgd and it is freshly made.
I personally felt that the soup could be more pungy and the vege could be more salty. But if you like the bland tasting thunder tea rice. You will like this.

โ โ โ โ โ Happened to stumble upon this place via a friend's recommendation. We were blessed to a special lunch time treat thanks to an annoymous person who decided to bless everyone who came in for a FREE meal. Amazing. Food was oustanding and service was very sincere and swift. I will revisit again for sure. Please support such local businesses.

โ โ โ โ โ Tried the thunder tea. Vegetables are neither oily or salty. Green vegetables are also cooked just nice.
However the basil thunder tea was a little milky & slightly bland. But considering the price & location, so I felt that it as average good.

โ โ โ โ โ 4.5-5 stars! Cozy store with maybe 4-5 pax seating capacity in total.
Food quality: fresh and very tasty ingredients that I couldnโt imagine it was possible with vegetables! Like their store at Bukit Timah hawker centre, mint and basil in the thunder tea soup is very well blended without overpowering taste (which you could easily get from an average store).
Food portion / Price: $0.3 more expensive than at Bukit Timah but still good portions and you get what you pay for

โ โ โ โ โ First visit to the place. itโs a very small place with limited dine in capacity. but the leicha was really good. Not too oily nor salty. Tau kwa was tender not hard. I picked kosong bcos I didnโt want any rice to it. You can choose bee hoon too but overheard the man at the stall explaining to another customer that bee hoon not recommended for takeaway bcos it will get dry. Exceptional service imo. I will be back for this comforting bowl again

โ โ โ โ โ At $6.9 for a bowl of reasonably inventive Thunder Tea Rice, I will heartily recommend anyone to give this place a try.
Run by a loving young couple, this humble establishment, tucked away at an inconspicuous area of Fortune Centre, sells exclusively Thunder Tea Rice, and you can almost taste the pride and passion that the owner places into his craft, so much so that it reminds me of Yat Ka Yan's (the dessert shop one floor above it) young owners. The owner used to work in a corporate setting before deciding to succeed his father's legacy, picking up the ropes of making a good bowl of Thunder Tea Rice from his father.
Their rice, a chewy and somewhat al dente mix of brown and white rice, glistens with aromatic sesame oil. You can also taste some ginger for a much needed contrast to the strong sesame oil notes. In my experience with Thunder Tea Rice offered by other sellers, such as the now defunct Thunder Tree from Peoples Park Complex, Living Wholesome's version packs a stronger, savoury kick to it thanks to the addition of pickled raddish bits. I am fond of the fact that they have not added any chopped parsley, a herb I find pungent and offensive. You will also find tofu chunks, shredded carrot, black eyed peas and some chopped, crunchy vegetables including choy sum, kai lan and something resembling chinese mustard.
The mint broth, however, seems designed to balance out the richer flavours of the rice, as it is one of the weaker renditions I have tried. Not to say that being so is a bad thing, as it is smooth and goes down quite easily when consumed on its own. I think there are grounded peanuts and sesame added into the broth to add a certain nuttiness to it.
One caveat I have with their food is how unevenly roasted their peanuts were. Some were cooked to the extent of charring and you can see white spots on some peanuts, presumably a sign of mold atypical for some types of peanuts, or aflatoxin. Their price can also be slightly cheaper to warrant more regular visits, as most versions that I have tried cost between $5 to $6.
That said, their food has a lot of heart, with quite a bit of thought that goes into their seasonings, so I will certainly visit them again given the chance.
It is important to note that the shop opens daily only from 10:30am to 2pm, Seating is also quite limited with only one four seater table and another row of bar-style table for individuals. Do check their Facebook page for more details.
