Yesterday's dinner was at Love Handle SG, a plant-based butcher (indeed, seems like an oxymoron) and deli. We had the Hot Tindle chicken, Double Cheeseburger, and Mushroom Swiss burgers, Mom's Luncheon Meat and Roast Tomato salad. I love my meat and this was definitely not meat. However, it was quite tasty. Looking past the subtle vegetal flavour that I can only describe as 'nutty' and 'tofu-like', the textures were surprisingly on point - tender but with a chew, cohesive patty yet not pasty. More than that, I also got the whole juice-spilling-into-my-hands experience quintessential of a decent cheeseburger. In fact, the cheddar is plant-based too but has the slight meltiness of 'real' cheddar. I'm not keen on replacing all my meats with plant-based alternatives. But I can say that the food here is indeed delicious - our plates were wiped clean - and I wouldn't be averse to swapping 'real' meat for plant-based meat every once in a while if it's healthier and more sustainable to do so. You should definitely check them out if you're looking for meat alternatives. Love Handle may surprise you just how good they can be.

I love my meats and I was hesitant when a vegan friend wanted me to try this place. But the chicken nuggets I had at Love Handle tasted like the real deal. Love the idea of a plant based butcher. I mean they even have beef wellington and also their own rendition of Lao Gan Ma sauce. As well as multiple plant based goodness all in a glass showcase.

Back at love handle for the first time since their revamping! They changed their menu and while I was excited to see new items, including non-burger dishes, I was quite sad to see my favorite fish burger gone ? either ways I had the egg mayo sammie which was honestly really good and worth the money (for $10)!! A friend had the philly cheese steak which i took a bite of, it tasted pretty good but it was not cheap for the slightly small portion size ($21). I was slightly disappointed in the fries as I remember it tasting really good before but I think they changed the fry type, and the flavor and texture just did not match up to the past standard. I also saw them prepare the other dishes like pasta + meatballs etc. and the portion looked really small so I’m not too sure if I’d come back for them unless it’s a real special treat! All in all, still a really great food joint, I love the vegan butcher concept. But I do think they still have some areas of improvement they can work on :))

Absolutely dig it. Give me my plant based joints anytime (I’m not the biggest lover of meat). Love Handle serves up spectacular plant based dishes and I adore their creativity behind every dish. Service is Michelin restaurant’s standard. I had their Celeriac Alfredo, Philly cheesesteak and luncheon meat while I was here for lunch. The Alfredo was spectacular and my companion was amazed with the luncheon meat. Had complimentary servings of their cheeses as well. Great place overall, although level 2’s dining area is a tad too noisy since the place doesn’t allow for efficient noise ventilation.

Really good plant-based food! The vegan burgers are really yummy and look and taste like meat. The calamari rings also taste like the real thing. Brought my non-vegetarian friend here and they said it's hard to tell the difference.

We saw this vegetarian place online and decided to give it a try, the place looks good. However, the food was bad. I myself is a vegetarian, I would like to comment on the beef Wellington, the pastry was alright, but the patty inside was kinda dry, the broccoli was blend as well, maybe they could add vegan oyster sauce on top to make it taste better. Next we have the meatball meal, it is a 1 star rating as well, the meatball has a negative after taste, the mash potato was blend and the leaves were bitter, they can try to change the vegetables to some other thing that not only looks good but taste good e.g. fried tempeh The calamari was the only one with a 5 star rating, it was good with the pickled mayo sauce. After all, it was an expensive restaurant, me and my friends expected the standard of the food to be better. After much discussion, me and my friend will not visit the restaurant again.

The Mushroom Swiss is ok, meat patty is quite distinguishable from a real beef patty. The Hot Tindle Burger patty is slightly spicy, but nothing too special. Buns are very normal. The cream spinach does not go well with the fries, they just taste like it’s a separate dish and doesn’t compliment each other well.

Food was phenomenal. We got the chicken and waffles, a couple of the burgers, calamari & spinach fries. They even gave us a sampling platter with “pastrami” on toast and some vegan cheeses and dips. Everything we ordered was delicious. Though if you’re having the burger, you might want to skip ordering an extra side of fries as it already comes with the burger. The chicken and waffles were delicious. Spicy chicken with a sweet honey served on waffles. What’s not to love? Enjoyed it so much we came back a couple of days later for the same thing.
