★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely beach for singapore. In comparison to other places around the world, while it looks nice the quality of the water is low due to all the ships.
Regular thunder warning that require you to get out of the water.
Its kinda hard to find somewhere to stop for a drink. Establishments are quite exclusive and there aren't many of them.
The magical Shores light show is something different. The kids will probably love it but it's not worth waiting around for.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fortunate to experience a safe, clean, well organized beach event..Singapore has a lot to offer for its small size...Magical shores was free but booking is compulsory..my 2 kids and I enjoyed the sound and light show on the sand and just sitting around and taking it all in..helpful,friendly staff at entrance.
We left at 10pm and it was extremely difficult getting a grab/gojek to go back home on a Saturday night..
called for a taxi as well but those were not available either..took 45 minutes of waiting before we were successful !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s free entry for now. The show lasts for an hour long but it’s a very basic laser show and goes in repeat mode . The island opposite to the beach is lit up with purple and laser rays are used to create some patterns. The whole show is only good for 5minutes , don’t wait up just for the show , but if you decide to spend night by the beach then do watch it .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decided to drop by after luge because this is free and required no booking (for now). It was utterly disappointing as from photos it looked quite pretty. In reality the light show effect was very minimal. It was mainly some purple lighting on the beach and across some flashes of light and fog effect.. but if you just wanted a chill place to hang out the beach is clean and peaceful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A total waste of time. When we came here last year it was a pleasant experience. The interactive show was excellent, the fish on the sand, etc. This time around, there was none of it, it was total rubbish, there was only pink and purple smoke, and the loud music blaring from two nearby beach clubs really make you cant hear any of the peaceful sound effect from the show. They may as well take down the magical shore show altogether.
