One of the better hiking trails in Singapore. Diversity of up and down, plus loads of birds and other wildlife. Not too busy which is nice as well.

Incredibly diverse and beautiful trail joining up to Chestnut Nature Park, then on to the BKE Eco-Link/Bukit Timah/MacRitchie via Rifle Range Road. Great for bikers, hikers and runners hitting the trails. A real gem out of all of Singapore's Trails.

Excellent hiking track with shedded trees along way. Can track from Bukit Timah Hill, Zhenghua Park, Mandai T15 Trail and Ulu Sembawang Park Connector to Woodland Almiralty station

Beware of bikers as the trail is shared by both hikers and bikers. You can check out the central catchment area and explore the forest while making your way to Chestnut Park. There are some wildlife along the trails. If you are lucky, you may find the fallen tree.

Starting from here heading south towards Chestnut Nature Park would be a moderate 7-8km forest trail. Not really an easy track because of the seemingly nonstop up & down terrains(mountain bikers' favourite) throughout yet not so difficult as they are mostly mild slope, only issue is that hikers & bikers share the same path for the most part. Still an enjoyable walk as this is the closest to 'walking in the woods' you can get here. But for the hazard of the constant bikers passing you by, good to trek in groups so that the bikers could see you from far and adjust their speed accordingly.

Had an exciting evening last Saturday and decided to explore again in the day! Beautiful place largely untapped - thanks to all visitors for keeping this forest intact

Look out for the mountain bikes bikers at the start of the trail down to chestnut. Bikers are usually very nice and generous with their morning greetings :) important to look down at where you are walking, that would cause a bit of a neck ache. All is well for the second half of the trail when the routes are separated for hikers and bikers.
