So grateful to have found this gem of a school just round the corner of Begonia. After visiting and enquiring with a few preschools in the same area; I was relieved to find this brand new centre Maplebear YCK helmed by a very experienced and hands-on Centre Director. (many of the other centres in the same area are pretty run down and lack the holistic learning that I was looking for!) I was initially worried about the stairs up & down and mosquitoes being a semi-d preschool set up, but no issues at all! Absolutely love the green spaces for outdoorsy activities & nature learning...the teachers have been very diligent with repellent - ensuring my girl doesn’t get attacked by the mozzies! And coming from a non-mandarin speaking household, I am so pleased to hear my girl speaking mandarin now and it happened out of the blue too. And and and.... they offer Aikido & Yoga for one of their many enrichments!!! Could not find this elsewhere...so am really glad it’s like a one-stop shop for us! My girl loves it... she is only 3 by the way! Kudos to the team of teachers there :) Highly recommend! At least pop in to have a chat with the Principal or Centre Director!

1. The childcare accepted a parent’s unilateral enrollment of my child even though the parent does not have sole custody of the child. 2. The childcare informed on 9 March 2020 that “(it is) aware that (my child) is a Malay” but informed on 17 March 2020 that “(it) know(s) (my child) is a Chinese-Malay.” 3. The centre did not provide me with access to updates on my child’s education from March 2020 until November 2020. 4. The centre did not respond to my emails dated 9 June 2020 and 16 December 2020 relating to concerns on the safety and welfare of my child. 5. The centre did not comply with a court decree that does not allow the maternal grandmother to pick up my child.

I’m leaving a 5 star for this centre because of the unreasonable comment from Muhamad Mirza Abdul Hamid. A business should not be held accountable or responsible for the failed marriage or failed agreement with ex spouse. Reviews should solely be based on the quality and result the child receives. My daughter attends a different maple bear centre and I’ve been more than pleased with the progress. Anyone reading this, should spare some time checking on his profile. This is not the only 1 star review he left on a childcare. Clearly he’s a very entitled parent. Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with this maple bear. Just a regular parent irked by entitled parents
