What an absolute gem!!! As much as I want this place to remain a secret so I don't have to endure long queues, it's too good not to share. Food and service was great with a perfect mix of traditional peranakan dishes and modern coffee and desserts. The owner was also amazing in explaining every dish to us and the quality of the ingredients used. Won't be much last time here for sure.

A quaint and lovely establishment with homely peranakan food served in beautiful homely plates. A go to place if you want to try Buah Keluak and like the Nitro coffee. Kueh Lapis and other cakes are fabulous too!

Found this cafe on Google Map while searching for something and decided to take my mum for Motherโ€™s Day lunch today .. food was excellent and service is even better! We ordered Nasi campur and Ayam buah keluak ( tapau beef rendang) Very attentive thru our meal there.. was recommended their specialty coffee selection over the Nespresso( cappuccino ) and was super! Tried their waffle lapis , very fragrant with the smell of lapis spice in it and it comes with 2 scoop of gelato?.. will go back again for the rest of menu another day!! Thanks for the Motherโ€™s Day macaroons too!

Very enjoyable dining experience even with a young toddler. The menu is interesting, with familiar dishes like Mee Siam and Ngoh Hiang, but with some pleasant twists like Buah Keluak Mee Tai Mak and Kueh Lapis in red wine sauce. No pork no lard. Whatever you have, please end with their Signature dessert Lapis in Wonderland, and maybe bring home a packet of their cookies. Their Kueh Salat and Lapis sell out pretty early, but you can order in advance.

Mee siam sauce is very tasty, I can taste the fragrant of dry shrimp in the paste. The red wine kuih Lapis is the best that will bring me back to this place again and again, highly recommended!

A really cozy family owned cafe hidden behind a bedok North hawker centre. The reviews were really good so we decided to give it a try. The mee siam is really good. The soup is rich and flavorful. The prawns are fresh and crunchy, perfectly cooked. The beef rendang is decent. Meat was very tender and the sunny side egg was perfectly cooked with runny yolk. The flavour wasn't what I was used to in a typical rendang. It wasn't bad but wasn't fantastic either. My partner had an interesting dessert; ice cream served on a kueh lapis in a cherry/rasin sauce. I personally wasn't a fan as I think the kueh lapis would do well just on it's own. The service was fantastic all evening. Everyone was accommodating and super friendly. They even gave us house made toffee sweets and some kueh to try. I would definitely come back to try the other things on the menu and support this cafe.

My wife and I enjoyed our brunch in this Peranakan cafe. Venue is bright & clean, quiet ambience, attentive service and most important, quality food. We ordered nasi beef rendang ($15), ngoh hiang ($12) and chap chye ($6) to share between 2 pax. Prices are nett - no service charge & gst. The beef rendang blue pea rice was excellent. 160 gm of beef, no tendon/fat, melt in the mouth, mildly flavour with home prepared rempah. Ngoh Hiang was crispy on the outside, moist filling of minced chicken & prawn meat and crunchy water chestnut. 8 pieces individually wrapped. We like it that chap chye was served temperature hot. In general, the flavor is on the mild side and not oily or salty. The sambal chili could have been more spicy though.. For dessert, we tried Lapis Wonderland that is nicely plated. Traditional kuih lapis served with grapes pouched in red wine sauce & gelato ice-cream.
