Pork Katsu Set. Super affordable (seriously just $10+ for this… stop complaining la ppl). Nowadays u buy 2 bubble tea already $10?. They use good quality Japanese rice. The pork was very crispy and tender. But yet it was so light and not oily (I believe due to the choice of panko/breading used). Very skilfully made. Even some katsu restaurants prolly can’t rival this place. Can’t wait to try the more premium options…

It's unusual to find Japanese katsu in a hawker center, especially one not in a city center. It's one of a few stall in this place. Luckily there is no line today - probably because of the public holiday weekend. Nice setting by the river foot & bike path. The katsu comes in 3 choices - donburi, curry rice or a set with side rice, cabbage and soup. Tried the set one as to keep the katsu from getting soggy from the donbury egg or curry sauce. The crumbs was very crispy, pork is moist and tender even though ordered the regular pork katsu, not the black pig one. Rice was creamy, soup is nice not salty, cabbage could be sliced a little thinner but it's good with roasted sesame dressing. A plus that the sauce also come with mustard! And, at half price of city center restaurant price - it's a great deal.

Affordable katsudon without needing to head to town or a restaurant. An additional miso soup is only at $0.80. Pork and chicken cutlets are moist and crispy. They are also generous with the curry gravy, rice and cabbage. Will return to try the other dishes. The coffeeshop is currently crowded due to closure of the hawker centre.

Ordered the Black Pork Katsu Set for $15.80 and I daresay the quality of this katsu rivals most Japanese restaurants. The pork was fried perfectly, with a crispy panko exterior and a succulent tender interior. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the pork katsu as it remained consistently crispy throughout the entire meal due to it being served on top of a wire rack. Katsu set was served with shredded cabbage with kewpie sesame sauce, a wedge of lemon, sauces (katsu, karashi), and a bowl of miso soup. The katsu sauce was sweet, tangy and it helps cut the greasiness from the katsu and the karashi introduces another flavour dimension to this meal.

Had Katsu Curry Rice and Kutsu set. The portion was generous and its value for money. Food was good too in terms of taste and quality, though maybe still not as succulent as katsu from Saboten. The queue was long. Worth going back. Recommended.

Was really a fantastic experience having paid much lesser than usual Tonkatsu Restuarant. All the tonkatsu we ordered taste almost identical to japanese restuarants. Its crispy on the outside, soft & tender on the inside. We ordered Blackpig Pork, Normal Pork and Chicken tonkatsu, all are good!

Ordered the chicken Katsu set. As most of the reviews here indeed the chicken is crispy outside and tender inside though it was chicken breast. But personally feel is a bit too dry, but healthy meal. The salad is topped up with nice dressing. ??

Got standard.. at hawker price! Eat there got restaurant feel I mean the food not the environment ya . Pork don not so good coz also very stingy with the eggs! But the pork and chicken cutlet was nicely done, tender and juicy eat there or bring home. The curry was nice but will be perfect if there is a choice of the spicy level . The sausage also so so , far from the original Japanese little devil crunchy and addictive. If you like more eggs like me I would recommend the special don … they will add an additional runny egg on top ?
