Rubbish and rude customer service, thinking that customers owe them a living and depending on them to live.

Bad customer service. Doesn't seem like they are interested in doing business at all.

$680 basic cost, $80 if you don’t install between 11am-2pm cos they only install one chute per day. Was planning to deal with them, but they have been Quite stuck up. Decided not to deal with them and search for alternative.

I have installed the Maxden Rubbish Chute Hopper in mid-2020, as my current rubbish chute hopper was very old and used. There were signs of pests coming into my unit and I was researching for a solution. Coming across an online review about Maxden, my family and I decided to go ahead to install it. The chute hopper has a powerful magnetic strip around the perimeters of the chute hopper door, so it is impossible for any pests to crawl out. The Maxden team also discovered a cockroach infestation when they removed my old rubbish chute hopper, which explains the increase in pests in my place. With this new Maxden hopper, we no longer see any pests. It has really solved a headache for us and we feel very secure and clean now. I had initially considered the price for a while, but now on hindsight it is definitely worth it. I have also recommended Maxden to many of my friends. If you are facing an issue with pests crawling out of your rubbish chute, and you want to get a serious solution, this is definitely a good choice.

I had one installed at my home last year. I did not engage them directly and so did not realize how horrible their service was until I had to engage with them myself directly this year. I called them up and texted them for a new hopper. No reply, no response to texts. Calls were answered rudely. If I am to pay 2x of what your next best competitor is charging (supposed same effect - who knows until year 10 also right?), I think basic service is reasonable. I don't like writing negative reviews but....truly appalled....

I would like to thank Mr Desmond, who was extremely rude to me when I was enquiring for the service back in January this year. Was so close to making the appointment until I ask him nicely if there are any alternatives as I am not comfortable to make full payment before the chute is even installed. He proceeded to make a snarky remark by saying he is not comfortable in having me as a customer, which is the best thing that ever happened! After sealing my rubbish chute securely with tape, happy to report that it has been 6 months and my kitchen has been cockroach free since then! Best of all it is FOC and don't need to give a single cent to an arrogant person like him. He seems to be very confident of his products, so much that after so many years in the business, he is still answering enquiries on his own which he is clearly terrible at and in my opinion, can't seem to afford to hire someone to do it on his behalf. If the customer service can be so terrible at the start, I can't imagine the aftersales service to be good either. So thank you once again for saving my money! Woohoo!

I just had my Maxden hopper installed today. :) Ever since I have moved in to my newly purchased resale flat 1 month ago, cockroaches have been crawling in ever single night without fail. Though we have engaged pest control, it will not resolve this issue if there is another round of fumigation. Maxden hopper seals tightly and it guarantees cockroaches out! Desmond, the owner, is very prompt in his replies and he's very dedicated to his job. I'm really impressed with his work. He guided us on the hopper maintenance and cleared the infestation that was forming near my existing hopper, behind the walls (I'm sooo thankful for that). Though it's is slightly more pricey than other brands out there, it's definitely worth the money to pay for something that works than something that doesn't.
