i'm so disappointed. first, they take forever to respond, requesting for documents that they don't bother reviewing, basically just "going through the process". after months of waiting, they sent you an email offering nothing but a string of empty platitudes & then proceed to close your case without addressing your issue. so rude and dismissive!

New grading system to reduce stress in students yet still set such difficult questions in their PSLE papers. You tell me how to reduce stress ?!

Understand from StraitTimes news thar MOH has approved covid vaccine for 5-11 years old and MOH will be working MOE to roll out vaccines for these children. From FDA documents, Pfizer's trial for this group 5-11 years is still on going hence this vaccine is only approved for emergency use. Furthermore MOH /KKH has not even completed their very own 15month trial. Is MOE agree to condone the carrying out of vaccinating children with these experimental vaccines? . MOH and world data have already shown these young children who are least affected by the covid virus. There is no proven benefits that outweight risks. Is MOE going to be a marketing arm for MOH for this experimental vaccine ? Staff of MOE - you have a sacred work as educator provider and chidren protector.. please protect these children .

my final semester should have been subsidized, instead MOE decided to count my previous 'leave of absence' towards the grant, and therefore I had to pay unsubsidized fees for my final semester which amounted to more than $15,000++ imo, 'leave of absence' should not be counted towards the grant since we did not attend school at all during the period.

This is the Singapore ministry of education headquarters. It is located near the mrt station and it is within a 5 minute walk of the station. It is an administrative building. A cool place in the heart of Singapore. A place where most education policy in Singapore gets decided.

Best in the world for maths and sciences... If only we can catch up in other important areas like innovation, life skills, design and entrepreneurship ?

overall, im honestly disappointed with MOE. their customer service is horrible. i appealed for 4+ months, and it took that long as they took their own sweet time sending redundant emails repeatedly asking for information when they could've asked for them in the previous ones. in the end, it was rejected with no reasoning given. even when contacting them directly, they've yet to respond even when waiting a few weeks. the whole educational system here is messed up. the new PSLE scoring system is so stupid. apparently it works if 'student A' purposely flukes their exam just to get into a 'decent' school and progress their way up from nt/na to express while 'student B' scores and qualifies into express but cannot qualify for the school, and even if offering, you cant push them into na/nt stream? and everything is way too strict. if you were to compare it with overseas schools there's a huge difference in the mentality of the students too. the amount of peer pressure, competitiveness and stress will always be higher. i dont believe children should grow up in an environment like this. efforts to 'help' mental health in schools dont even work, you should realise that. creativity is the most important thing for children, and local schools here are stripping it away by making scores the most important thing.
