took about 6 tuition assignments from mytuitionclub since last year. they have quite a lot of tuition jobs compare with other agencies. as long as tutors dont drag the tuition agency payment or break the contract term.. u will find them a breeze to work with to be honest

9 Jan 2019, Staff of MyTuitionClub was irresponsible and left my 5 year old grandson to dismiss himself after class. He crossed the main road heavy with traffic. I went to the tuition centre and asked the staff why he allow my grandson to leave the tuition centre without me fetching him. Answer was she thought I was outside. Visited the centre in the evening again and understand that the staff was on the phone and did not take note that I was not there to fetch him. Requested Desmond to call me back as I demand a refund for their negligence and he totally ignore my calls and did not return my call at all. As a grand-parent, I sincerely feel that the tuition centre is not sincere and have incompetent staff running the centre. Desmond totally ignore me as a consumer after we paid for the deposit and advance tuition fee. No apologies were given too.

I was confirmed for an assignment, attended 2 weeks of lessons and terminated. I understand that the minimum commitment is 1 month as stated in the terms and conditions. However, i had to terminate it due to personal reasons and partly because the student was not cooperative. To the agency, i have produced documents to answer why i have terminated the assignment due to personal reasons and the coordinator in charge told me that they will refund 50% of the lessons i have attended. But they did not provide any update even after 5 working days. I had to call up to demand for an answer. Following, i wrote an email stating that the tuition agency have a deadline for tutors to transfer the commission but no deadline for themselves to give us, tutors, an answer. To that, they replied, β€˜Each company has their own system or terms and conditions of running the operations. That is our company terms for payment to be paid to us within 3 days after collection. Should you NOT comfortable with our terms, you should not accept this assignment at the 1st place.β€˜ This answer was unacceptable because i was telling them my opinion. If they impose a rule on us, they should be doing the same for themselves. After sending my documents, i received no updates at all. No email, no calls, no messages. Isnt it normal to call up and ask about it? This was not the only incident that triggered my post here. Following are other incidents that i have encountered regarding the same assignment Upon confirming the assignment, i realised that i am unable to make it at the time i have said, called up within an hour of the verbal confirmation to ask if im able to push back the starting time by another 15 minutes. At this point of time, i have not received the parent’s contact number and im only able to contact them. The coordinator in charge told me that they will inform the parents. To my horror, on the day of the first lesson, the parent called me at the said timing at first, and asked if im coming. Then i realised that the coordinator did not relay my message to the parent. The tuition is twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays. At the end of the first lesson (a Thursday), i said β€˜see you next Tuesday’. To my horror (again), the parent said β€˜i already told the coordinator that we are not able to make it on Tuesday’. I was really speechless at this point of time. The coordinator in charge of this assignment was very unprofessional. Upon confirmation of the assignment, it seems like all other important messages were not relayed. At this point of time, they have not refunded the 50% as they stated that they will need to investigate. What do they have to investigate regarding my personal issues? Upon the submission of this review, i am not looking at my 50% coming back. I am not desperate for the 50%. I will take it as a lesson learnt. Above are all true and my conscience is clear. Perhaps its just this assignment that was not handled properly. Parents and tutors, engage this agency at your own risk.

Coordinator was very patient & helpful! She manage to help me find a tutor urgently within a few hours even during exam period.

Got a call from desmond yesterday asking for tutor feedback. Hired tutor in Feb/Mar and do a follow up about the tutor we hired after 2 or 3 months. Got lots of tutors from other tuition agencies and this is the 1st time someone called for follow up after few months. Im impressed.

Bad experience as a tutor for mytuitionclub. Agent did not have the decency to share with me that the student was suffering some kind of autism and might require a different approach in tutoring. On top of that, there was no reminder for the 1st payment or whatsoever, and demanded for a late payment fee 4 months later.

mytuitionclub is fast and prompt in service. Manage to hire a private tutor for my 2 kids within a day and they even call me to check on tutors feedback after a few months. Good experience!
