Ordered: Curry chicken & bread. Verdict: you can find better in the average food court/market. The curry is thin, a soup rather than a gravy. Although there are hints of the spice mix that made the original Nana's so great, the taste is predominantly salty water which leaves an unpleasant thirst inducing aftertaste. The meat is tough and dry, tasting of boiled chicken that has not been allowed to sufficiently marinade to soak in the spices. The bread is stale, cold and hard. Either this franchise is particularly bad or the standards have dropped to shocking levels.

One of the best chicken curry I have eaten and its located in a coffee shop. Serving is very decent and the price is reasonable. Excellent servi e as well. Ordered a chicken drumstick curry with rice at $5.20 only. Love the way the chicken and curry were cooked. The chicken was soft, tender and easy to eat. The potato was cooked to perfection. Not too soft and not too hard. Most curry chicken I have eaten either cooked the potato too soft or too hard. The gravy is a tad spicy but not unbearable. For those who don't eat a lot of spicy food, I would say you won't sweat buckets eating. You can really taste the spice and the effort being put in making the gravy. The gravy is not too diluted and even when cooled a little, did not become concentrated and thick. I would say in terms of flavor this definitely hit the sweet spot. Definitely recommended for those who love curry.

Really good quality curry with really nice staff. Price is very affordable and the taste is good. Not amazing but still delicious. Would buy again when I am in the area. The curry is rich and the spicyness is just right.

Not sure about their old standard that many here mentioned since I only found out about them last year. However the curry is very good compared to a lot of other stalls - this is the real old school local curry flavour I have eaten since young and which had mostly disappeared from stalls since about 20+ years ago when I just finished NS (replaced by the pre-mixed curry "solution" you can find everywhere nowadays which taste only of a single flat flavour and not an aromatic mix). Curry is more than just thick gravy and thick curry does not necessarily equal good curry. Oh, and for those complaining about the lack of the taste of coconut milk - coconut milk is not a core ingredient in curries and most curry recipes do not include coconut milk as essential. The spices and chilli are what makes a good curry. Too much coconut milk overwhelms and destroys the flavour of the spices. Only gripe here is the rather mild heat level (thus 4 stars instead of 5) - curries are SUPPOSED to be spicy. This curry is sadly way less spicy then I would prefer (and I believe sentiments are the same for other real curry lovers) though still quite tasty. I can't understand when people want to eat curry but want it to be less hot. Perhaps try tomato puree instead? It's red too and doesn't burn your tongue with the delicious heat. Already there are too many spicy dishes like mala which had been horribly mutilated in Singapore because non-chilli eaters mysteriously wanted to eat spicy stuff and expected their tastes to be artificially catered to. The so called "chao la" (super spicy) in local heat options barely even measures up to the "zhong la" (moderately spicy) in China.

Food wise it's 5 stars! I ordered Murton curry with French Loaf and added a 'Lava egg' as recommended by the staff. As the lava from the egg would enhance the texture and flavour of the curry. -Curry was thick and flavourful though a tad too spicy for my liking. -Mutton was tender and doesn't have the smell. -Potato was very soft and delicious. Should've added one more haha. -French loaf was fluffy and fresh and crust still crusty! - 'Lava Egg' was almost like a hard boiled egg as shown in picture. Nothing lava about it at all. Upon noticing my almost hard boiled egg, I went to the counter to enquire. I asked another staff since the boy I ordered from wasn't there. When I asked her why the yolk to lava egg already hardened. She replied: it's difficult to control the outcome of the eggs you know. Some harder some softer. This reply is extremely unacceptable and unprofessional. I also wonder why push to upsell the 'Lava egg' when you can't control the consistency on the eggs at all. I would come and eat again but definitely not adding on the Lava egg

One of the better curries in Singapore. Not too creamy or thick, the curry tastes different from the usual run of the mill ones. This curry has a stronger taste of spices rather than coconut cream/milk and is deep orange-red in colour. The flavourful and spicy curry is absolutely addictive. Chicken and vegetable curries are good, but vegetables can be overly soft and mushy at times.

Their standard still remains good, the curry is thick and fragrant. I had the curry mutton, the mutton is tender.
