β β β β β Graduated in 2012. Nan chiau gave me such a wholesome and wonderful secondary school experience, we studied hard and played hard too. The teachers that taught me were a really dedicated bunch, they felt more like parents then teachers :') Made so many good/best friends here and we are still as close as ever.
A school that radiates kindness, warmth and focuses on bilingualism (definitely a lifelong skill for me). Gave me one of the best life experiences, teachers that are like parents and life long friends.
11/10 would recommend. +1 just for the noodle shop auntie β€οΈ

β β β β β Was a photog in NCHS when I was a student. Nan Chiau High taught me a lot and saw my transformation from a playful and aimless boy to a disciplined and resilient youth who knows what he wants to do. I just want to say that the name doesn't put anyone here to indignity, but instead it held a glorious history and heritage as the name of a top notch institution in the 70s, just like where it presently stands. I am proud of my alma mater as a premier school just like many others who spent their youthful years here.

β β β β β I would say the eternal school spirit is what that really distinguishes NCHS apart. There is always this strong sense of belonging and identity that never fades, and never replicable elsewhere.
It's this never dying spirit, as well as the feel of home, that connect generations of alumni, teachers and students alike together, looking out for one another.

β β β β β Nan Chiau High gave me a quite distinctive feel. I came from a SAP school decades ago, and the institution instilled in the students the kind of willingness and spirit to "chiong" for nothing less than the best outcome, which quite impressed me. This is a very prominent and timeless indication of a school of high standards.
As a visitor and prospective parent, I would say Nan Chiau would have been one of the top performing schools looking at their studious, humble attitudes and their disciplined culture.

β β β β β Nan Chiau HIgh School (εδΎ¨δΈε¦) used to be one of the nation's top high schools in the 1970s, with very competitive academic track records for both Chinese and English language streams, especially for the A Levels where they used to have half of the cohort getting straight As. Besides, Nan Chiau used to be the only high school in Singapore to have a full set of science equipment (I was from RVHS. Still remember the years when we used to get over to Nan Chiau High's campus for advanced science practicals) Now the school have moved into Sengkang, but the heritage remains. Its campus is really beautiful despite having a relatively small land area.

β β β β β Nan Chiau High gave me precious memories as a student, and is a place that I really treasure. It is very fitting to say Nan Chiau have a intrinsic caring culture, being experienced the most in my four years there. Despite being one of the burdens of the class as a quiet and emotional girl, my teachers and peers, especially the boys (contrary to what many thought would be). My classmates cared a lot for me and supported me over the numerous hurdle in school, from coaching me in my schoolwork to escorting me home on rainy days, after night studies and when I was ill despite the additional distance. It is not something that any ordinary friends would do. Some of them continued to be my best school mates in JC. I am very sure that the friendships with my teachers and classmates are those that I would never forget. :) <3

β β β β β Nan Chiau High School changed a lot since I graduated years ago, there is now a lot of dedicated study areas around the school, and there is a new auditorium. During my years at NCHS, I am very fortunate to have very dedicated teachers and principal that cared for us a lot. The teachers offered me extra consultations to help me understand my maths and physics that pulled me through my O Levels to get to a good JC. (A special thanks to Mr Chan and Mr Lee).
