★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Room wasn't clean when I arrived. There is no cable on the bedroom TV and my air conditioner broke. They didnt offer me another room to stay. They said I could turn on the fan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic staff with beautiful rooms. We had our AC leak over night and the staff was there about 10 minutes after we reported it. Can't beat that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff was great! Very helpful. The rooms were huge! Three bedrooms, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, living and dining areas. Buildings are older. Biggest down side is location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place I feel gives me mixed feeling. The price is really high for one person but what you are getting is worth it if you have a group. I paid $230 for a appt mainly with living room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms with 5 beds. Me having to buy this room myself I felt was an extremely waste considering I'm spending one night and all by myself. I would imagine if you are with a group of guys or even with family that is perfect. I just wish they could maybe sell each room and have a common area for a lower price. I will say out in town can cost more, but for a person in transit it may be worth to be out in town because it is not close to the airport and taxi fees add up.
Place is not bad for looks though!

The rooms are huge and always clean.
Front desk people are very helpful and courteous.
A new twist this time is the shuttle bus. Great driver.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The cleaning crew is probably the worst I've seen. They only make beds and take trash out, if they choose to even do that. They continuously forget to provide paper coffee cups, they barely clean the bathrooms, they NEVER dust anything.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately, only the foreign Armed forces personnels are allowed to rent the Gateway. The units are very retro and it is certainly will be a very memorable stay for most Singaporean.

Location is not close to downtown but close to the pier
