★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rated as one of the top 10 mee siam in Singapore, so we decided to give it a try. The stall is manned by an elderly couple. Their mee siam is made up of rice vermicelli (bee hoon), tau pok and hardboiled egg, garnished with green onions. The gravy is light, sweet and sour, non-spicy, with the addition of tau cheo (fermented soya bean) which gave the mee siam an amazing taste. And all for the price of $2.50 only.

Stall in hawker centre, closed Tue and Wed.
Food quality: Pretty decent noodles, freshly made by elderly husband and wife in batches. Mee Siam broth is warm and sweetly blends in with the noodles.
Food portion / Price: Mee Siam, Mee Rebus $2.5 each, $3 for bigger bowl with more ingredients. Hokkien Mee starts at $3. Good value for money for sure.
Crowd: Generally there’s a queue during lunch hour.
Payment: Cash only.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saw a queue for this and decided to give it a try. Cost $2.50-$3. Taste different from other mee siam. The color is rather orange. I like the gravy. It's light, not too sweet, not that spicy. They sell Mee Rebus too, I will come back to try it next time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love eating at Food Centres, and there are so many Food Centres to explore the myriad of delicacies, which are unique in their own ways. This is definitely one of those where the visual and taste are distinctively their own creation. While the queue is long, the wait isn’t that long as the couple does their own part of work in the stall like clockwork. Personally I like sweet and sour mee siam more than the savoury and sour type, so this is definitely to my liking. It comes with one whole piece of tau pok which is very special. There is a generous portion of beehoon and so soft, and with that smooth gravy, it is quite effortless to eat. Very satisfying plate of mee siam which explains the long queue.
