My girlfriend and I attended this workshop and it exceeded our expectations. Chong Hui and Derrick were incredibly welcoming, patient and warm. They made us feel at home right from the beginning. Got to learn about the history and mechanics of the music boxes before designing our music box. There was a huge range of accessories, from human and animal figurines to buildings and natural elements. Chong Hui gave useful tips that improved our design (like how our initials should be on the bottom right hand corner of the box instead of the bottom left corner so that there's space to hold on to the music box when winding it). The space was also very conducive. We spent four hours building our music box. Chong Hui and Derrick seemed more than happy to host us, and encouraged us to take the time we need to perfect our box. An excellent way to create something memorable with loved ones. Highly recommended.

Went down with my SO at 6pm and was greeted by both passionate owners of the business. While having our music boxes prepared by one owner, we were given a brief history of music boxes by the other - did you know they were inspired by clocks? Things like this would not be done by an owner just doing it for the money. We were given 100% of the attention by at least one of the owners the whole time despite overshooting our allocated slot by an hour. They have a huge assortment of decorations available to be added to the music boxes meant that whatever was circling your music box did not have to be a standard train, i had 2 mini bubble tea figurines attached together to a magnet to form my very own “train”. The owners encouraged creativity in decorating the music box and was more than willing to help combine decorations. While we were there, one of the owners were adding modifications to existing decorations to create a larger selection. Some of the decorations are also hand-made by the owners themselves - another thing to say about passion. The owners even have fancy “photo boxes” that acts like a little photo studio for your music boxes - passion right here again. For those bfs that have your deadlines the next day, you will be getting your custom music box the moment the glue dries, which takes like 5mins. The only downside is the pricing, the prices of music boxes averages off to about 100$ which is a little pricey for people just looking for an activity to bond over. However, if you look at prices of music boxes being sold outside, the prices are pretty comparable. Bonus points added with the customisation, experience and sentimental value. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the workshop and would definitely recommend this as long as you love music boxes or really just looking for sometime nice to do with whoever you want to do it with. Tldr: its a nice experience and the owners are nice, go for it

I brought my daughter to this workshop to create her 1st musical box during the school holiday and it was such a wonderful experience. The 2 bosses are super patient & friendly , you totally feel at home with their great service. They are very passionate abt their craft and give very good explaination about music box mechanism and how it works. I highly recommend & will be back again =)

Highly recommend the music box workshop! I had thought that we would just start making the music box straight away but it was more than that! The owner shared about the origin of music box, how it works etc., and I think that it was a very nice touch. The owner was very passionate and love what he does. He was also patient and supportive. You can sincerely feel that they just wants everyone who come to their place to truly enjoy the process and making this a part of their memory! I will definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested! ?

Great time spent at Okdodoo. Both owners are so friendly and spent time telling us how music box works, the parts that made up a music box. Of course the most fun was spent making the music box. We spent about 1.5hrs but it’s time well spent. Totally enjoyed it.

Came with a friend because he had a voucher and the workshop really exceeded my expectations! The variety of figurines / pieces to work with was very exciting and I enjoyed the hands-free experience where I could ask for help if I wanted, or just do my own thing in the background of chill, relaxing music. The owners are friendly, try to use sustainable materials, and hand-make some of their own pieces. I admire their vision as small business owners and I recommend people visit, it is really a novel experience ? It's like an art jam, but for music boxes, and there are many possibilities to customise both the music and the music box. Even if you don't have a clear idea of what you're going to do before going in, the inspiration will come once you see the shelves ? and of course, the owners are there with their fair share of input.

Been to this music box workshop twice and would definitely come back for more and more!! They were really nice and accommodating owner, also you can feel their passionate towards the Music Box! My SO booked the music box workshop for me as a surprise and I had the best time here! The owners were so friendly, and shared all about the origins and history of music box with us, including how it works and the different kinds of music box. Then, we spent the next 2.5 hours building our own box with the 500+ ornaments that they have! There's also over 30+ music to choose from. We were left to build the music box on our own so that was a very comfortable experience, and the owners came to help out and give us some ideas when we felt stuck on the designs. They also assured us that we could take as much time as we need. They also offered to take pictures of us during the process, and at the end once it's done, they even had a light box for us to take pictures/videos of our music box in! It's my first time attending a workshop of any kind in Singapore and I absolutely enjoyed this one. I love how customizable the whole process is, which makes the music box even more meaningful and special to us. We personally feel that for the product and experience we received it was worth every penny! I would highly recommend anyone who's considering this workshop to give it a go, you won't regret it. Thank you so much to the owners who are so kind, passionate and sincere and made the experience so memorable and enjoyable for both of us. I'll definitely be back again in the future ☺️
