Ordered a cake and the black sesame buns from Olsen, and both were great! They’re a bit pricey ($4/bun and $50+ for a pretty small cake), but well worth it coz they do use good quality ingredients. The black sesame buns were rich in flavour and very Q and fluffy, filled with mochi that’s incredibly soft. Black sesame is filling is also not too sweet. The staff here are also very friendly and helpful!

I’ve always loved their cakes. So glad I was able to get the sample box. Every item was good.

This Banana Cake with hazelnut spread was so, so good. The banana cake itself was moist, and it hit the sweet spot in terms of density. The spread with the little crunchy bits helped to add texture to the cake, and I really appreciate how the hazelnut spread isn’t cloyingly sweet. Was having a moody morning but having this little slice of cake really helped to make the day better. ? Will defo be back to try more bakes!

The pulut hitam pandan chiffon cake is really unique, with actual black rice in the middle layer. Just a subtle sweetness that’s just right. The cream just gives it texture rather than add sweetness to it.

Amazing cakes! The ondeh ondeh cake in particular was incredibly soft. The softest cake I’ve ever eaten! My parents also loved the cakes and did not find them too sweet or cloying. Definitely will be buying them again! Service was also really good and personable :)

I love the black forest (christmas special)!!! Please bring it back or have more intense choc flavours <3 Edit: The vegan banana cake is great too! Can’t tell it’s vegan. The chocolate fudge cake texture wasn’t to my liking though, and the milo cake could use a stronger milo taste ?

The shop itself is a bakery kitchen so only takeaway is possible. Went down for purchase without any order reservation and managed to kope last few pieces of mochi bun on a Sunday 3pm haha Love the yuzu sesame cake and kopi c cookies!! Fluffy, sweet and sour! Kopi c cookies were crispy but butter fragrant was stronger than kopi c. Will try out more next time ?

Found it on google maps while nearby the area, decided to try some. It's a take-away-only shop owned by a friendly young couple. Cakes were fluffy soft, moist and delicious! As their texture were similar, chiffon base and buttercream icing, it did get jelak after the second piece. I'm torn between the orh nee (thick creamy yam, hint of pandan and coconut) flavour and the strawberry with mango (light and refreshing, sweet and sour) as being the best I like. The yuzu sesame was fragrant but paled in comparison. Kopi kaya and peanuts butter is unique and you can taste the toasted peanuts but it also had a slight acrid aftertaste, perhaps from the skin of the peanuts or over toasting. I also tried their sugee cake as you don't find this often in bakeries. Buttery and chunkier, light crumbly texture but lacks something in terms of flavour, I ate two slices and felt jelak. Just a personal preference, others might like it.
