The most tone-deaf "counseling" session I've wasted time on. Made assumptions about my feelings/thoughts and gave simplistic solutions just like what you'd expect from a tactless friend/relative. Went on for awhile about how I should go into private practice and I found myself having to justify my career choices to him.
The best part? Started talking about himself and asking me how to lower his fat percentage because I'm a nutrition professional. Boasted about his diet/fitness regimen, and THEN commented on how "we're a few minutes overtime" at the end.
Dissed the other "more surface level" counseling centre I had been to, when in fact I had much more empathetic, understanding and thorough counseling there for 10% the price.
