Phat Burger Bro. - 491 River Valley Rd

Been eating at Phat Burger Bro with my family since it opened. The phat burger is always on point, seasoning is great, and the patty is so JUICY (napkins beware). The secret is the attention to detail - all the ingredients are well prepared and so fresh. Onion rings deserve a call out as well as their, imo, best in River Valley draft beer selection. I have ordered a Hot Dog set and a salted caramel milkshake. Pros: - the staff and service were fine - milk shake tasted good Cons: - the Hot Dog wasn’t so nice. They used a sweet bun, which was very weird. The sausage, was a plain cheap supermarket sausage. - Portion size is rather small - Fries were burned and oily - the price is unreasonably high. Milkshake for 9$ is way too much. The Hot Dog set for 19 is also a lot for a given portion size and sausage is really not enough to get full. Probably not coming back

The burger was good but not great - it’s a bit on the saltier side and there is definitely room for some improvement. Notably, the chicken felt a bit underwhelming. Service is top notch though and there’s plenty of space in the restaurant!

Super tasty burgers cooked medium and on a toasted sesame seed bun plus the best (and some of the only) hand cut fries in town make this place a must try! The chili cheese dog was also yum and I’d love to go back to try the chicken fingers and their hearty salads, too. The counter service was really thoughtful. A big plus: the guy there walked us through the menu and checked how we liked our burgers half way through devouring them. Was unexpected and so appreciated!

I enjoyed the burgers immensely here, for the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger, there was a good balance of patty, yummy grease, cheese and condiments. I thought I would have liked it bigger but it was just nice after my pint of beer. My friends had the Northeast Chicken cutlet (I always avoided ordering chicken burgers) but it was crazy amazing, the pepper+chicken+cheese combi per bite just makes me so happy. We will be back. This was my first visit to the establishment. Glad it was not very crowded for lunch on a weekend. Being my first visit to the place, the counter staff was patient and friendly enough to recommend me their must-tries. But what piped my interest was their specials (outside their menu), and I ended up with their Onion and Mushroom burger. Had it in a set and was even allowed to change the soda to their Salted Caramel Milkshake! Thumbs up for that!!! The burger was juicy and cooked to medium. Best of all there wasn't a strong beefy taste from the patty. Would return to try the other popular items for sure. However, the size of the burger could have been bigger for the price I had paid for my meal. Nevertheless it was still a gourmet burger that surpasses burgers from the regular fast-food joints.

First dine-in experience. Ordered single classic cheese burger and chicken cutlet burger. We love it! Moist milk bun, warm with tinge of crisp. Generous beef patty and chicken cutlet slice. Both were juicy and burst as we took bites into the burger. The fresh veg within was perfect company. The hand-cut fries and coleslaw has the taste of home as well. The friendly staff made everything homely and perfect. Thank you for such a warm experience. We will be back for more.

Honestly, the burger and fries weren't very nice. I had their cheeseburger with the set meal of fries and coleslaw. Nothing special, but the price. Shakeshack has better burgers than here, and that's a fast food joint. The food wasn't great, not even good. It's edible if you're hungry, but I wouldn't waste my money or calories here. It's not bad that I'll actively tell my friends not to come, but it's not worth the money or time. Service was OK though. Just needs to improve on the food for the price.
