Used to visit this store many times and got a few items. One day I was rushing over and reached around 9.03pm and store was close but lights still on and staff were still inside. So I knock the door and ask nicely if they can sell me a fish tank cause it’s urgent. And I said nicely β€œoh you guys are closed so early I thought 9.30pm” and a guy replied in a very sarcastic manner β€œearly ? Come come I show u the board what time close it’s 9pm” Don’t get it why he must talk to me in that manner. And yes they refused to sell the fish tank to me. I’m ok with that but I’m just really unhappy with their sarcastic reply. I’m a regular customer but after that experience, I will never ever want to support this store again.

*IMPORTANT TO TAKE NOTE FOR NEW BEGINNER FISH-KEEPERS* 1.Before entering this store, do a small study on prices before-hand because things here are definitely expensive 2.Note down what you need for your set up, otherwise some staff may push sales onto you on items you actually do not need, normally they target those beginners and at the end of purchase you'll end up paying more than what you actually need. 3. DO NOT BUY THEIR SHRIMPS ($6 per shrimp, including the most basic shrimp to keep, cherry shrimps) honestly, it's a very ridiculous price for just ONE piece of shrimp, you can get 10 cherry shrimps for $12 at Kohaku Aquarium near bedok central ($1.20 per shrimp) 4. if you are selecting your fish, do observe the fishes in their tanks and spot for illnesses, some of the fishes do have ich (white spots on their scales) 5.Looking for aqua soil? They do sell them, and yes for 4-5L of aquasoil they do sell them at a very cheap price tbh, however if you really do not want such a big bag of soil, look some place else, they don't sell small packets (I've requested quite a number of times, however they don't listen to customers requests) 6. If you are indeed a new beginner and would like to try out fish-keeping as a hobby you may take my list into consideration for buying your first setup -1 to 2 feet tank (buy 1 feet tanks if you're really just trying it out)$16~$30 -decide what filter you want( i use Hang-on-Back filters, they're quiet and easy to clean, sponge filters are not bad too)$12~$19 -substrate (i prefer aquasoil, because it provides a natural PH level in the fish tank) you may get rocks too but fish wastes tend to get stuck beneath the substrates and will get dirty ( DO NOT get any substrate if you're getting goldfishes because they do not need them)$6~$10 for rock substrates $30+ for aquasoils(they don't sell small bags of soil) -Aquarium lights (depends on how big is your tank, but be prepared for at least $30 for 2 feet tanks, can be cheaper if you're using smaller tanks) -water conditioner (ranges on the different brands, but i use nutrafin and their bottles costs $6, pretty cheap imo) -Food (really depends on what you're keeping, so i'll leave the price out for this one) - Fish (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, IF YOU'RE BUYING FISHES ALONG ON THE SAME DAY YOU'RE GETTING YOUR SETUP TANK, PLEASE DO NOT DO SO. Buy your fish tank setup first, set up your tank and put in the water conditioner, turn on the filters and let your tank run and cycle for at least 1-2 weeks, make sure not to get live stocks during this period. Why it is so is because 99% of fishes die almost immediately if you don't cycle your tank for at least 1-2 weeks due to the water conditions not being made for your fish. many different fishes have different varieties of water conditions that is of their habitat, so you might want to study on that. This is all the advice I can give, I've been keeping fishes for 4 years, however you'll definitely learn something new about fish-keeping everyday. Most important is to have fun and learn from every mistake along the way.

Arrived at 8.40 pm to pick up some fishes. But apparently the staff is closing shop and said can’t buy. 15 Oct Friday. They started pulling in the outside cabinets to prove that they are closing. Guess they should change their closing time to 845pm. Lazy staff imo. Not interested in $50 sale since I already knew what fishes I wanted to get. Oh well. Poor experience and wasted my time getting there.

A couple years ago, i bought some neon tetras from their tanjong pagar outlet and they all died in a few days. Then recently i decided to give their livestock another chance so i bought 12 guppies from the bedok outlet. Within the next 24 hours, 10 guppies died! These were not even those feeder type guppies! I have bought fishes from many other fish stores in bedok and none of them died within the next few days of buying them. The trip was a COMPLETE WASTE of my money. Additionally google here says their closing time is 9pm, but when i asked the uncle, he said they close at 8.30pm? Plus point are their other fish supplies and place was clean.

This place is neat and relatively new. Unlike other aquarium shops, this one has exotic species like the amphibious tiny crabs and figure 8 puffer fish rarely seen in other similarly sized aquarium shops. Boss and staff are friendly. Well-managed shop. Only the plants I find slightly more expensive. The fishes certianly look healthy and are reasonably priced. I enjoyed my 15 minute window shopping.
